My petition I-129F was approved on May 9, NOA2 came in the mail may 14,  I started calling NVC since then every single day, as today has not reached the National Visa Center.
What should I do in a situation like this?

Out of curiosity, why does everyone block out the numbers on their case number?

It's just a number that isn't associated with anything sensitive. Am I missing something??

Just had to ask since it's baffling my mind....

NOA1 - Nov 8th New Site

Hope to get some good news soon!

Apparently you're a lot more trusting than most people..  I personal thinks its foolish to disclose any information that could potentially unlock a lot more information, or run the risk of some nut throwing a monkey wrench into a case file that I've been waiting  6 friggin months on..  Even with all the security and verification that takes place over the phone, why take the chance when you don't have too?

I would still send in the pictures as an updated package just in case, I'm actually considering sending pictures from a trip I made after sending in the application, I wouldn't hurt to try

USCIS won't care about anything happened after the petition was filed, because the only requirement they ask for is meeting face to face before the petition was filed, within 2 years.

Sending extra information after the petition is filed, especially this far in the process can complicate by making things get lost, or if get approved can cause it to be called back because of needed extra review due to new evidence.

However those will be extremely important at the interview.

Based on previous quarters scans and published data, we estimate approximately 30% of the finished results end up being what we call 'silent'.  Based on that, I created a ratio and attempted to estimate where the numbers might be including 'silent' approvals and RFEs.  As you can see, whether you use the numbers we know for sure, or the estimate number we still have a ways to go.

Got a question.

I (beneficiary) moved to another city here in Japan while fiance visa is still in the process, should I tell them now or update them my new address or it's better if I'll do that if my case is already approved? My Noa1 is dated 11/17/17 and still waiting for the approval.

Another city or another province?

do you use japan postal’s forwarding system?

they don’t update the system and it ends up going to the old address. You can wait and when your case gets “ready” at NVC you can mail to the embassy about the change. Or (what I did) I changed nothing and they sent to my old address and it got forwarded to my new address. It reached me the next day. And when filling ds- 160 and interview appointment I put my new address.

i moved from Kanagawa to Tokyo.

@Naes

Would you suggest this is consulate specific info?

My Peti will be moving too (possibly) shortly before my interview in Montreal. I'm holding off on submitting the DS160 and filling out the I134 (residence and employer parts) until we know for sure. Might be alright timing though as we just got the NVC case# tonight....

If I don't know for sure about the move until after I submit do you think I could change that info (at least the DS160 "place of residence/where I'll be living") afterwards by letting the Consulate know before my interview? Adjusting the I134 isn't a biggie/easy to do.

Do you think it matters?

I'm concerned it might be an issue at POE if we do nothing...

It is highly country specific.

The first part about address change is correct for any embassy.

If you have an address change and your embassy is sending packet 3 by post, then you need to contact them to change the address. (In Japan postal services are extremely well and forwarding system works perfectly with 1 day delay. So trying to contact embassy actually delays the process. so it was not necessary)

If your embassy does not send anything by mail, you can correct the address on ds-160 and interview appointment. As sending the passport and the packet will be the only time they will need this.
