Can I expedite EAD based on a job INTERVIEW?

I have a job interview on Friday, but it's just a formality. I know I have the job. They want me to start ASAP so can I expedite my EAD based on a job interview letter?

 

Also, undergoing financial hardship because I have had no income for the past 8 months, it's very difficult!

Youre going through aos. That is not hardship. No one going trough it can't work without ead and have no income. So that's hardly a reason for anything. If youre doing aos based on marriage then your spouse has a duty to support you. 

 

You can try to expedite based on the job offer.

Uh, yes there is a reason. Having no money in our bank accounts and unable to survive is called financial hardship. My savings are coming to an end and I won't be able to support us much longer.

 

I just want to expedite my EAD since it has been almost 100 days now.

Yes I understand. But aos is part of a process and you can't claim hardship based on that. Part of the paperwork says your spouse has enough means to support you through this process. If anyone could claim hardship just because of aos being what it is then everyone would do it. 

 

Like I said. You can try to expedite based on job offer. Though the expedite will take time also and it sounds like you're almost there.

Couples have 2 visas to choose from in this journey. One has extra processes after the beneficiary arrives in the US and the couple marries (K1). The other allows the beneficiary to work immediately upon arrival to the US (CR1). You knew that you would have to adjust your status and it would take time so it is not considered a hardship. Just poor planning. This is the point @Roel is making. Unfortunately, many couple choose the K1 option overlooking the drawbacks of it. Trust me, if I to do it over, we would do the spousal visa. My wife was dying to work just like you.

 

To answer you question, you can expedite your EAD with a job offer. If you are sure about the job then asking them to write an offer after the interview.

  It appears you made the choice to short cut the process from a VWP entry. That is the price of doing that, you could have filed the K1 or married and done a CR1.   If the company can't wait you may pay the price of missing the job.

Yes, you can call them and request an EAD expedite with a job offer based on financial hardship.
You will receive a letter asking for evidence of the financial hardship ( statements of bills, a new loan, medical bills etc).
The letter will give you a fax number where you fax it along with the job offer.
The expedite process takes about 3-4 weeks.
Normal EAD processing has slowed to 4-5 months currently.

What is the definition of financial hardship? I do have some money in my US bank, around $3,000. Will this be too much?

I don't know, each situation has too many variables. 
We send a few statements of a new car loan and some cc statements. I didn't send bank statements.

It's about hardship on the US citizen. Does she have rent, insurance to pay, tuition to pay, low paying job and finds it difficult to support the two of you? She needs your paycheck and you have a job offer.

Well August 18th I had $8,800 in my account. It is now Oct 17th and I have $2,600. At this rate I'll have nothing left in a couple months and I need to get a car on lease within a few days. How would I mention that to USCIS?

 

I called in and they said they will send me an expedite request within the next 5 business days via mail or email.

 

Also, I just got the email with my job offer.

Submit a hard copy with company letter head not an informal email when you fax it to USCIS.
There is no standard way to proof hardship, it's up to you and your circumstances and how you can prove it.
Hardship for the USC as was mentioned before.

Job offer expedites don't claim financial hardship, they claim severe financial loss. There is a big difference in the 2 and the latter is much more often approved.

Yes you can expedite it!! Follow the advice before:) basically, yes if you have a job offer they really wont deny you.

seriously though, you applied in July right? you should have your EAD any day now! i would relax and just wait for it! because honestly, the expedite will take longer then it will to get it!
