Hi guys!!

Im kind of confused now. Is there a new process for k1 visa? Like the g325a is no longer needed? And i've looked up on the uscis website, theres nothing there that says about the proof of ongoing relationship, It only asks for the proof of meeting for the past 2 yrs. Correct me if im wrong pls. Thank youuuu!!

Agreed.

I'm planning to mail I-129f packet next week.

When we started making the packet together we read several websites G-325A is required.

Double checking everything and now looking at USCIS and the State Dep I don't see G-325A mentioned.

Instructions for Form I-129F (PDF, 468 KB)

Personally, I think we are just going to send the I-129f packet in with G-325A's

Does anyone else have anything to say?

I-129F

-Part 2. Information About Your Beneficiary

-Question 54 - This asks about physical meetings in the past two years.

We live together in Poland, so for question 54 we explained how we met AND how we now live together, (AKA how our relationship is on going the past two years.)

But Roel went through the entire process and I have not.  This is just how we interpreted Question 54.

Currently, you only need I-129F and G-1145 forms.

G-325A is NO longer needed. This component has been incorporated into the current edition of I-129F.

For all the required documents and evidences listed in the official I-129F instructions sheet, those must be submitted if they apply to you.

As for the VJ K-1 guide, refer to it to get an idea of the various additional supporting documents or evidences that you can enclose to strengthen your petition as well as what needs to be prepared upon NOA2.

Whilst evidence of relationship is not required when you're filing your petition, attaching them is not a bad idea at all. It will allow the adjudicator and consular officer get an idea of your relationship :) And honestly, if you're from a high fraud country or going through a difficult embassy, front loading help a little.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

The process is the same - the only change is as mentioned by @KULtoATL - G325a was incorporated into the i129f earlier this year. There has never been a requirement of proof of ongoing relationship for the i129f petition. It has always been - proof of meeting within the last 2 years. When time comes for the interview is when you bring additional proof of ongoing relationship.

The I-129F form has changed.  If you send the wrong version, it will be rejected.  Just send in the current form and follow all instructions.  Looking at the case tracker app, I am surprised how many people are still being rejected for using the old app.  The information contained in the G-325A is included in the new long form 129F.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

I had the same question just the other day as I was surprised to learn the G-325a form is no longer needed. The k-1 guide on here needs to be updated apparently.

Make sure the I-129f forms you use are 13 pages and dated April 10 2017 on the bottom. I had already completed the G-325a forms when I found this out so I have left them in my I-129 petition because if the officer doesn't need them they'll just disregard them, and someone on another site (***removed***) pointed out that the G-325a forms were still on the USCIS checklist so to just include them anyway (I can't confirm that as for some reason the checklist won't open on my computer.) The point is it can't hurt to include them but no, I do not think they are required anymore so don't worry about them if you haven't already done them and don't want to.

And you don't need to prove anything but having been in each other's presence at this stage, however a lot of applicants, myself included, choose to go the "frontloading" route because again it can't hurt. The officer conducting your interview will review your case beforehand so why not arm them with as much useful information as possible. It might get you a shorter interview if he/she feels they already have a lot of the information they need, and it makes you look thorough and serious about your petition. Good luck.

I messaged @Captain Ewok Admin. to advise of the K-1 guide issue regarding G-325a.

It looks like it is now gone from the Visa Journey Guides thanks to him.

Oh thank you so much guys for all of your responses. To be honest, we have alot of delays filing the petition since we're trying to get as much details or proof to avoid any denials. Cuz we never really thought of this whole process when we started so we dont have those like hotel receipts boarding passes and such. So we're trying so hard to get as may proofs as we can.  I appreciate all your responses. 😊😊😊

I was also confused by this G-325A form listed on VisaJourney but not on any official forms.  Thanks for removing it.

I would suggest also that references to the G-325A be removed from the "Example Immigration Forms" section here

http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples/

It's currently listed in the Cover Letter (and is still confusing--do passport photos need to be submitted with the I-129F initial application?)

Also the discussion above seems to indicate the proof of relationship should be removed from the cover letter, since it is not submitted until the interview?

That site is automatically masked on VJ for a reason. ;) And the checklist was updated a few months ago as well to reflect that the G-325A was no longer needed (although it updated a few months after the I-129F change took place).

Yeah, USCIS will ignore the documentation that doesn't relate to the requirements for the I-129F (i.e. relationship evidence). It will be forwarded with your case to the embassy, where the CO may review it before your interview. This is where it varies heavily from embassy to embassy. For some embassies (i.e. USEM), they don't review it beforehand...you don't even know what CO you will get until you reach the front of the line (and they don't know what applicant they will get until you're at the window). COs from other embassies may look at it in much more detail and have an opinion before the interview begins.

In the vast majority of cases, frontloading has no drawback. At the same time, anything you submit can also be used against you...so sending like 500 pages of chats opens you up to them cherry-picking some detail you long forgot and asking about it in the interview.

It's not needed until the interview, but front-loading is beneficial in some cases, and almost necessary in others (i.e. dealing with very difficult embassies like from Ghana, Nigeria, etc.).

Just to confirm, when you say "proof of meeting" to be sent with that form - would a photograph together & photocopy of plane ticket stubs be acceptable to be sent?
