Congratulations! How big was the group? Any information you over-heard or picked up on why the delay they are having?  Thanks...

The link reports that nearly 800 were naturalized, on this forum we were lucky to have 2 of them  naturalization ceremony May 6th 2021

My ceremony was at 9.30 am, we stood the entire time (20 mins max) in a socially distanced group of 49 people, 7 rows of 7, with little X's marked on the floor. It was a disappointingly short affair, the Judge gave a short address then we took the Oath and collected our certificates. Quite subdued really. Hubby waited downstairs for me in the lobby area of the center.

I read on Fox9  that night that they said 800 people were sworn in on the 6th in St Paul, I really can't see logistically how they would fit in 16 or so groups in the one day, unless they had multiple rooms going.

They are probably using multiple rooms at the same time. Otherwise, what would be the point of doing it at such a big place! I think that can be a hint of the reason of all these delays that their strategy is focusing on making larger group of people at once at the expense of finishing in a timely manner.

@flyingmamba @PaddyGirl13 my neighbor's ceremony on the 6th of May was cancelled, wondering if you heard anything? I thought it was weird they called her on a Saturday?

Actually I did. Mine was de-scheduled. Oversight on my part, I was out of the country preceding 10 days the oath ceremony. I got a call voicemail on the 4th and on the the 5th status changed to "oath cancelled" and few hours later "oath ceremony will be scheduled". I'm guessing it'll be scheduled sometime in June now.

@flyingmamba I assume they gave you no reason as well?  My neighbor got information from someone ( I thought it was hilarious, when I asked whom she said a janitor at the convention or conference center) that they had planned on a 600+ people plan to naturalize but later realized it wont be possible so they started cancelling...

They did give reason. I travelled abroad, 10days preceding the ceremony.

Woke up to an email and checked my account, Fargo oath ceremony - June 24!

Congratulations!

That's for Fargo. I don't know if you have seen my other comment before, but I was told that they would be having 2 ceremonies in the last week of June.  I don't know if yours would count as one of the two ceremonies that I was told about (because it is in Fargo). It looks like you heard back from them within 2-3 weeks after your interview while some other people here had their interviews more than 6 weeks ago without hearing back. I think we should be seeing some more notifications in the coming up couple of weeks. It is about time...
