  1. Hello members, I please have a question, when you filed for your parents, did you need THEIR birth certificates? Also, will they need to submit police clearance reports for countries they lived in since they turned 16?
  2. Thank you, did you schedule an urgent appointment? the 3 business days one or just the normal one? I was trying to schedule the emergency appointment but there are no openings...
  3. Does one need to update SSN BEFORE applying to US passport? or can one get the passport going and then update SSN after they get the certificate back from the passport agency?
  4. I'm unsure about that? I thought it's a straight forward process, you show them the certificate they update and you leave with it?
  5. This is great to know! that means they got through the pandemic backlog and now are current! Good luck to all those who interviewed! things are moving fast. are you with the 29th or 30th crew @RS2016?
  6. Out of curiosity, I've noticed the naturalization certificates have pictures on them, I am assuming they will use the picture taken from the biometric appointment? I've lost my hair since and I've been shaving my head for the last 2 years 😅😅
  7. Were you with the May 6 crew or another date? I think it will be last couple weeks of June
  8. @flyingmamba I assume they gave you no reason as well? My neighbor got information from someone ( I thought it was hilarious, when I asked whom she said a janitor at the convention or conference center) that they had planned on a 600+ people plan to naturalize but later realized it wont be possible so they started cancelling...
  9. I understand you but i also want to indicate that I was just saying exactly what the status showed, their USCIS status said exactly : Your Oath ceremony has been canceled, the fine print said the blurb of unforeseen circumstances and that a new schedule will be mailed yadayada, so writing here or inquiring with anything other than what was really sent in the notice would be confusing and misleading.
  10. I'll join the deal, April 23rd here.... Would like to hear updates.
  11. It depends, in my case which is similar to yours it was 3 days. I interviewed on a Friday EOD (3 PM) and got the approvals on Monday, unsure if the weekend should be counted or not....
  12. @flyingmamba @PaddyGirl13 my neighbor's ceremony on the 6th of May was cancelled, wondering if you heard anything? I thought it was weird they called her on a Saturday?
  13. Congrats! I got a notice in the mail yesterday saying that both applications are approved and that I will NOT receive a new green card since I am in line for an oath and that the naturalization certificate will serve as the proof of citizenship... The weird part is the timeline of notices: Interview 23rd Approval updated on USCIS April 26 (N400). April 27th (i751) 797 notice received yesterday but notice date was April 23rd, the day of the interview...
  14. Why would you say you were married on the non-immigrant visa?! You are going no where, better start planning on your wife moving to live with you wherever you are, not to go back and forth, your case is 100% deniable and there is no remedy whatsoever. Not even a good lawyer can defend you, even if they were able to, in USCIS eyes you have provided false information and you are not admissible by law.
  15. I think Oath schedules as well vary a lot, regardless of when you submitted n400 or interview dates, there are some folks that applied based on 5 years residency, them people been waiting much longer than the 3 years marriage based applicants, so naturally they should be given priority, others have pending i751 some have theirs approved long ago and still waiting, my guess is that things are moving based of a certain criteria that is unknown to us.
  16. I use the other portal, which some refer to as the "old" e-gov DHS website, could be the reason? Did you guys have also pending i751? I got a text earlier saying that my i751 was approved on April 23rd, which was my interview day, yesterday got the oath notice dated 26 and was wondering why there was no update on the i751 but apparently it was just a delayed notice (received 27th dated 23rd) as for ceremonies the IO told me that the next wave will be in June, people taking their Oath in May were notified in April, so maybe we will get scheduled for June and notified in May. if you have an approved i751 and you're just waiting for the oath, things are good, do not over think about it, eventually the appointments will be sent out...
  17. I know someone who applied exactly May 20 2020 and they got the bio re-use yesterday.
  18. Does yours say in line to be scheduled? Mine reads In line for Oath ceremony, does not say to be scheduled. the fine print reads, your form number xyz has been approved and you are in line for an oath ceremony, a mail notice will be sent in the next 45 days with details about the date/time/location.
  19. I guess so? N400 says in line for oath ceremony and the narration says I will be receiving the date/time of the ceremony by mail within 45 days. i751 still says "Ready to be scheduled for interview"
  20. Congratulations. at exactly the same time stamp my status updated to that as well!! haha is it like an automated system?!?! I interviewed on Friday, 3:00PM CST so got the update today, my 652 was a decision cannot be made but apparently one was made today... Nearing the end!
  21. My status just updated to Oath ceremony notice, isn't that weird while i751 is still showing that it's scheduled for an interview?
