Update:

i had my interview today at 101 W Ida B Wells drive building and left with N-642 form that stated that I passed the civics test and "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval". i was told that I should be receiving a letter from USCIS within 30 days.

When I got home, I checked on USCIS site and it showed that my status was updated with "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" notice and that I should expect the letter to be sent within 30 days.

Almost there....

Thanks for the update! It's really encouraging to see that a September file has had an interview in Chicago!

So, this is frustrating. My husband's Oath was re-scheduled for June 3rd, but then they also cancelled it the same day the scheduled it. 😡

The statuses back to back look like this:

May 12, 2021 - We scheduled you for an oath ceremony for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

May 12, 2021 - We cancelled the scheduled appointment for the oath ceremony for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

May 12, 2021 - Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

So....still waiting.

All eFilters.... What does your receipt show at the bottom left corner? Does it show Chicago Service Center or something else?

Mine shows this: Filed April 2021 (last month)

National Benefits Center
U. S. CITIZENSHIP & IMMIGRATION SVC P.O. BOX 25920
Overland Park KS 66225

Does it mean, it did not go to Chicago Service Center?

Your file doesn't go to the local field office until the interview stage.  NBC does biometrics, etc then sends the file on.

But I got Biometric reuse Notification. So no Biometric. Does that mean, the office at the above address may have assigned the case to Chicago office?

Biometrics are required to perform the background check which is done by the  NBC.  Once that clears then the file is sent to the local field office for the interview.

I submitted May 26 and still nothing. It's very upsetting that people filing months after me are getting their interviews scheduled before me. What is going on???
