Got notice today my interview was scheduled. Filed Aug 24,2020. Biometric reuse in December

Husband had interview yesterday. It went really well, they barely asked to see any documents and the test was very easy and quick for him.

 

Heads up: don't wear a mask with a vent/exhalation valve! My husband almost got turned away from entering the building because he entered wearing such a mask and they asked him if he had a different one without the valve. Thankfully he brought 2 other masks with him (without the valve), so he was able to switch to that mask and they let him in. Just wanted to let others know!

 

Current status: Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled. IO said he can't say for sure but that it usually takes 1 month to schedule the oath and that the date will come in the mail with 2 weeks notice.

Yup, one month, same thing I was told. I'm approaching that 1 month soon so we shall see. Congrats to you guys.

Good to hear. It seems like based on other timelines here on VJ it's been taking about 2 months from interview to oath....I hope it picks up soon and goes faster.

Chicago N400 Filer here. Had my interview in mid March, received oath scheduled notification on USCIS website last week, and it is scheduled for last week of April at the Fed Courthouse at Dearborn, downtown Chicago. So total time from interview to oath ceremony is about 6 weeks for me. Hope that helps...

I was interviewed in the second week of March and today got message i was scheduled for oath. Dont know the date yet but i am extremely happy that i will be done with the process.

As far as my interview it was the smoothest interview i can hoped for. So all praise to God Almighty.

For those who just recently had their interviews, did the USCIS officer asked you some word definitions?

My husband was not asked any word definitions in the interview.

No definition were asked. The whole interview lasted 15 mins. My interviewer was a nice lady, she just asked all the questions from N400. Make sure to review the n400 form before interview.

No but the interviewer did comment on my English proficiency, he was suprised by it. I was the 1st person he had interviewed from my country. Told him that we were an ex british colony until the 60's, we all spoke English by age 3 amongst 2 other languages.

 

Maybe they are told to gauge a person's English proficiency, not just through the reading and writing questions but also as they are being interviewed. Who knows.

Oath scheduled today. Interview was March 9th. That makes about 1 month since interview day. Just incase anyone is wondering.

Hey Everyone! I had my interview on March 31st and was recommended for an approval. I was handed the approval form. But my status is still stuck on "Interview was scheduled". Did anyone else had the same experience where the status was not updated after the interview? Starting to get worried now.

Biometrics done March 29.  Interview date May 5. 

 

What documents did you bring to the interview?  Thanks a lot.
