I was November 2019, was just approved 1 month ago. Oath in 2 weeks. Maybe yours is coming along since it was 2 months after mine.

Thanks. I hope that this timeframe will work out.

Contact a senator's office under "Help with a federal agency." January 2020 is way too long to wait.

What was your last status update with USCIS?

I agree, it is too long to wait, but you can't really complain when it's within the current projected wait time (13.5 - 21 months for Chicago).

Hopefully the projected wait times will start to come down.

I check https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ every few weeks to see if my case ever goes past the time limit.

The current N-400 wait time is 13.5 - 16 months in Chicago. Still no response from USCIS. The first number means that 50 % of applications are completed. My application "CASE IS BEING ACTIVELY REVIEWED BY USCIS is as an island in the ocean of completed applications: "CERTIFICATE OF NATURALIZATION WAS ISSUED." This status is since February 19, 2020! Seriously? Something weird is going on in Chicago. Don't you think?

Yes, the wait times were updated this week, so you can definitely complain now.

The 16 months is the number that they complete 93% of applications I believe, so it really sucks to be in that 7% (I'm also in that range, so feel your pain).

I am on chicago n400 whatsapp group and over there we have an applicant which was given decision cannot be given after interview. She kept writing emails every other day to USCIS and finally she recieved call from chicago office that there were signature issues related to the application so she will have to come in person to the office.

she went and clear up the situation now her status shows in line for oath.

Moral of the story you are right there are some weird situation which doesnt have any justification.

Just had my Oath ceremony at  219 S DEARBORN. The court yard where the ceremony took place is right across from the security clearance area. It was completed about an hour from the scheduled start time. Cafeteria and restroom are on second floor and Cafeteria is open. If you happen to arrive an hour early like I did, it is nice place to chill and have a cup of coffee. I guess my journey ends today... Passport appointment scheduled tomorrow.  All the best, everyone! Wish you a great summer..

Today i became the Citizen of United States. Thank god Almighty.

People who are scheduled for oath in quincy courtyard make sure to dress for winter. It was super cold, people were shivering. I am glad i am done with the immigration.
