London medical booked for 30th. Any advice would be good. How far from Kings Cross is it via tube? How long were people in there for?

It's about 10 mins on the tube from Kings Cross if you go to Bond Street (although you'll have to change at Oxford circus). Or you can just get off at Oxford Circus and walk from there. The walk from Bond street is about 5 minutes, and from Oxford Circus probably 15 mins. I was there for around half an hour in total.

So, we're on day 56 waiting for NOA2 after RFE. The way things are going, it seems a lot of us are stuck waiting for NOA2 and I've seen some people say they'll contact their congressman because Tier 2 is no help.

My dilemma is that my fiance and I are both in the Philippines. He has no congressman because he has lived in the Philippines (got his citizenship through parents but hasnt really lived in the US -- dont worry we have family in the US and they will be our sponsors/affidavit of support) so who the heck do we contact for help if we still don't get a NOA2 after 60-80 days?! :|

AOS Timeline: Camie (Beneficiary)

Dec 08, 2017:               Married!
June 23, 2018:             Filed AOS (we waited until our savings reached above poverty guideline since we both moved here from the PH with basically nothing)

Aug 20, 2018:              Biometrics (I asked to reschedule but USCIS never sent a new date, so I did walk-in.)
Nov 5, 2018:                Received RFE for I-864 joint sponsor

I have been following a couple of Algerian K1 visa applicants through VJ....one scheduled their interview 3 months out....I assume that is how it's going to be. Waiting....

Hard to believe it's probably going to be around Thanksgiving before the interview :(

I really hope you don't have to wait so long for an interview....

Hello, my fiance is from Algeria as well and I submitted the petition on July. I guess we have a long way. I hope to learn more about this process with you :). I was reading that the petitioner can't attend the interview and I was really counting on attending with him.

It really depends on the embassy. It took over a month for the NVC to receive our petition but it took one day to go from "in transit" to "ready". Others took longer so it's hard to say.

Yes. That is what I had read also (from the embassy information page). However, I have read several of the interview reviews where the petitioner  did in fact go into the building with the beneficiary.

That being said....I have also read that it is beneficial for the petitioner to be in the country for the interview  (even if your fiance takes your passport in and says "they are waiting outside")

In addition.... (as my February filers can tell you) I'm a pretty good fit thrower  (think toddler that wants the chocolate at the store....my mother would be so disappointed :D)

Come hell or high water....I will be in Algeria for that interview.....

PS....I'm following you too. PM any time...we are all in this together
