-Yes i do, i was actually thinking about printing pages from social media as well. All the way back to the beginning. We are not the kind of couple who posts about how much we love each other and so on, but i do use words like "me and my husband", i posted pictures from our anniversaries saying that it's our anniversary, i have friend's comments under those. And of course photos from out trips. He doesn't post much, but he has 2-3 photos of us too. (Mostly making fun of me)

 

Did you have a work visa that had a 2yr return period?

-No

 

Did you get engaged to another American before this? (I'm not meaning any of those as rude, just thinking in type).

-Nope, never even dated anyone before.

Ah got you. Then you just need some major proofs if the i485 is not in questions. If he had something against him to make him unable to apply and have an approved i130....99% you could google his full name plus city and know this. 

 

Get the lease thing I mentioned. Get gym memberships together, zoo/museum memberships, this may sound nuts but get his ex writing a notarized and detailed statement about why the marriage ended, like cultural differences, grew apart as people, wanted different paths in life such as kids/no kids etc. If they tried counseling to save the marriage get those records. You guys should be packing on a lot of proofs not only for your marriage but to counteract your husband looking like he maybe had a sham marriage the first time. Anything you guys use as proof, go back and try and find the same proof for his first marriage during that time. I feel this is going to help you a ton when you finally get the NOID and can respond to it.

 

And yes to printing social media pages with date stamps. We sent a few of those.

They actually had more financial proof than we do. I asked him all about it. Very weird if uscis likes financial proof and that's what then think now...but I'm not sure about anything anymore, may be it's that. Yeah may be we should start, i feel like some of the papers may be hard to find since they got married 12 years ago...

I meant don't volunteer things if they ever come to your home. On any other level giving a lot of evidence is just fine

But is there some other complaint we can file now, do you know? Because yes i would love to complain to someone that uscis can't do their job  If they are willing to deny a legitimate couple who submitted everything that was required then most likely they approve fraud marriages by mistake, so something must be wrong over there  29 days since the 2nd interview, still nothing, i just don't understand why are they doing this to us. Seems like they just refuse to do anything about our case on their own and doing whatever they can for the case not to move, why.... are they hoping we will withdraw it or something, again, why..... May be they actually don't like that my husband was married before and since they can't find a reason to deny they just hope he will withdraw his second application eventually? But this is just ridiculous, they have no right to do that.

 

well Im not lawyer. But I heard you can go to federal court and somehow sue USCIS for being so slow. Not sure how this would help at this point though since they are technically working on your case. You might want to consult your lawyer on this.

Theres a lot of speculation about how the USCIS is thinking and what they may or may not want.  Give them what they ask for and stop trying to figure out everything else.  Notice of intent to deny doesnt mean they WANT to deny, but that they intend to do so unless you provide the evidence required.  No theyre not always going to hand you a specific list and say this will work because thats not how an investigation works.

 

I agree with the poster who said to be polite if you get a home visit.  Dont take photos, dont be rude, dont be annoyed or jittery or jumpy. They're doing their job.

OMG!  Take pictures of Federal Officers in your home!!??  I am beginning to wonder who has the negative attitude here.  I can't imagine that you are not projecting this bad attitude everywhere you go.  I mean I feel sorry for what has and is happening to you but come on now...you really think they are going to lie and say they never went to your house???  You need to be NICE AND POLITE to these people...even if you do hate them!  Take a chill pill.

I actually don't know if you're able to take their photos. That could put their personal security at risk.....physical safety grounds. Most of the time home visits are not at prepare worthy times anyway. What they did to us, was ask us to call them at 9am that day to 'arrange' for them to come by or us come to the ICE office. I set an alarm for 8am that day to remember to call.....my own phone rings an anonymous number at 730....answer half asleep, it was the agent, I explained I was just about to cal him.

 

He says no worries, I'm outside in your parking lot now. At a time when only real couples would be at home together. After he saw us fresh from rolling out of bed and one of us with the flu, and still even offering to let him in as long as he was quiet and didnt wake the kids, he didn't. and basically said look, I'm just doing my job, nothing personal, I'm not going to come in because I have two kids also. If I would have pointed a camera in his face I guarantee it would have set the tone a totally different way.

If they do show up, open the door, and just be nice and tell them I'm going to make some coffee and watch the news. Be polite, ask if they want any coffee/water/whatever and they will of course refuse, but niceness and a good attitude always make things better. Then take a seat on the sofa and have coffee and chill. And ask for their card before they leave. They are trained to press you mentally, that's sort of a given. The less you act like it bothers you the better

 

Odds are you won't even get a visit anyway. We only got one because he was put into removal.

Do you mean the Writ of Mandamus?  Be aware that filing one of those, gives the government a short time frame to decide what they are going to do. If their investigations haven't been completed, and the time runs out, they deny. Not a good idea, in this case they are working on it.

Agree. Unless it has been something insane like 3-4yr, let it ride, you have the EAD. Especially if they are investigating the validity of the marriage versus just held up on a really hard to finish background check from a certain country. You don't get an approval from WOM, you just get a decision and it can be a bad one.

Oh ok! Because I'm pretty sure if the noid says "submit affidavits from 3 people who know you" and that's it our lawyer will only want to submit those, that's it. You think we should submit more, right? That's what I think too.

Very true on the WOM, force their decision and get denied if their investigations/checks are not completed.

Omg! All I wanted is a proof that they came to the apartment. I had no idea they have cards, now I know that they do, so I don't want to take any pictures anymore.

I am taking chill pills, lol.

What if they report that they saw not what they actually saw?  I know it's a super crazy question but I just don't know why are they doing all this to us
