Ahh our NOA1 was 12/9, i am getting anxious. I asked this before but it got lost in all the messages. Does USCIS post approvals throughout the day or do they get posted at night? I am noticing a trend of people posting they got approved closer to 9/10 pm est?

Hi we received our NOA2 at 6:30 pm est, so probably it comes through at the close of work day. I would think the notifications are in real time. But just hold on yours will be out soon.

Thanks so much, praying for that soon! Naturally more anxious when others after my date got approved, so can't imagine how people in October and November feel!

Hi All! Congrats to everyone that has been approved :) I filed on Dec 20 and received my NOA1 hard copy Jan 2. I was just wondering in the interim, have other December filers started filling out forms like DS 160 and preparing affidavit of support in advance of receiving the NOA2?

Thanks!

I just started gathering up all of the paperwork that I've seen the good folks in this site mention. Started filling out the ones I can, and just gathering everything together for the ones I can't. I even sent an email to the embassy in Montreal asking for a checklist of the documentation they require. I haven't heard back yet,  but I'm hopeful for an answer. The new paper work is giving me something to do other than stress!

No, you need to wait until you get the case # from NVC to track ur case and fill out DS160.  Affidavit of support should be rather current so wait for NOA2

Yes, I began gathering my documents for my packet 3 before my NOA 2 arrived, just the affidavit of support left and those should be ready in a few days. So will be good to send it off immediately we receive the email for packet 3. You can fill out your DS 160 and save it on your computer so whenever you need it you could get it out.

I just got notification right there for an RFE from the app. With that in mind I think they do the notifications throughout the day...

I'm also guessing its the same as @geowrian for proof that OKC is not an IMB.

GAHH, at least our case has been touched!! Guess I had luck of being irish today on paddy's day :)

Our case was APPROVED!! I have been refreshing the app like a crazy woman for the past 2 weeks. I checked at about 9:30 PM and still no change. I figured I was going to have to wait another grueling weekend without any information. Then I checked again on a whim 20 minutes later and there it was! For everyone that is still waiting, I know it's rough but you will get a response soon! Just keep refreshing the Case Tracker App, that is most likely the way you will find out first. FYI my receive date was 12/7/16 and NOA1 posted 12/12/16, so it took 95 days from NOA1 date. Good luck everyone!!
