OP you cannot compare a country like the Phillipines where older men/younger women relationship are culturally accepted and very normal.

It not normal for a older man in Philippines to have a younger wife in PHilippines,

It seems to only be that way for immigration purposes.......

Married to an older guy in the Philippines is still frowned upon. Usually, only the family of the Filipina is the most accepting.

Thanks for all the replies!

I don't know if these makes a difference at all, but we are both from the same ethnic background & are both the same religion. Yes, we have the age gap, but we have the same morals, beliefs, and values. We were both raised with those beliefs. I don't know if it makes a difference, but for what it's worth, I just wanted to add that. Also, I just graduated nursing school, and he plans on going to school also when he comes to the U.S (God willing)

I am a nurse too! If you were raised here and have visited there, you know that the differences between the US and Saudi are HUGE! Even coming from a traditionally Muslim country to the US - unless you live in a large city, it's very isolating. I'm Muslim as well and my fiancee is from Morocco and has never been here. However I know of others from the Middle East who say that if they knew then what they know now, they would not have come here. Maybe he will adapt very well but you have to be prepared that maybe he won't. Would you be willing to move there if it doesn't work out how you want it to? Insh'Allah all will go OK for you, but I hope you have a good support within your community or it will be a lot harder for him.

Hello,

I am a US citizen wishing to start the K-1 fiance visa process for my fiance & I, but I have a question. I am 5 years older than him & am wondering if that'll affect our processing at all. I'm 24, and he's 19.

Please don't judge me about our age difference because that's quite frankly our business. My question is if that could be a reason to not be approved.

Thank you.

Age cap is not an issue , a friend petitioned her fiance she was 15 years older than him and he came here.

Good Luck

Me and my husband are 5 years apart as well. That's not a big age difference so people have a 20+ age difference to me that would be a red flag

I love my husband ?‍?‍?

Married June 2016

Por siempre y para siempre Mi amor
