Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 21, 2014
Embassy Review : February 20, 2014

1. Came at the embassy around 4:50am (my sched is 6:30AM). There were already too many ppl there. Different lines for IV, Non-immigrant and other kinds of visa. Different lines for sched time too. The 6:15AM ppl came in first.

2. Inside the embassy.. I wasn't called for biometrics until around 10AM while my friend who was scheduled at 6:15AM got done and approved at 9:30AM.

3. Filipino console... She was nice. Asked...
For my passport.. If I traveled outside the country and stayed there for more than a year. How did i meet my husband and what year was that? Who does he live with? If we have prior marriage or have kids. She input everything I said on the computer and confirmed the dates. When did he visit and for how many visits before we got married and if visited again after that. She asked if I have pics and chat logs and i was about to give it to her but she said to just show it to the american console. Then she smiled and wish me good luck!

4. American console... Asked me...

So, you met your husband from work? I said yes and he said "Tell me more about it! so i told him our story. He was joking about the account I was handling when I met my husband and told me to frame it hehe. Then he asked if i will be living with his mom. I said, that's the plan until we find our own place. Then he asked if my husband told me about WI.I told him yes its cold and it's the cheese state. He said he could relate because he is from MN. He gave me a leaflet about my rights as an immigrant if I will be a victim of domestic violence. Then i asked while giggling and excited "Does this mean I'm approved? He said No! That does not mean your approved but this stamp(he stamped on my case file) means your approved! Then I said thank you! my husband will be very happy!

.. He didn't look at anything i brought even documents. It's like i just showed there to talk.lol
.. Total time from the biometrics was around an hour and a half. Got done at 11:30AM.

5. Last step.... 2go info. i was just told by the guy that everything is ok and expect for my visa packet in 5-7 working daya. hehe...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
