      RUN. SCAM.

NEVER trust someone who doesn't want to skype.

She doesn't need a medical for a B2.

She will tell you she didn't get the visa and blow your money like she does with 10 other guys.

Gorgeous my foot....someone else's photo.

That is a guy if she is really genuine she should send her passport photos and working permit because if she is philipino in China she must be there for work and you can't get American visa in foreign country unless your resident so she should prove that , and China Internet is free in most places and it's cheap if you need to install in your home, so excuse not to Skype is rubbish .

Even if she is genuine maybe she is not the one in photos and you won't like what you see .run

Very good that u asked here before u send her any money ! Many people here are saying that it is so obvious, but when ur in it its harder to see the symptoms of being scammed. U keep having hope that it is someone pretty, and since he does not know the prices on the visa application. But yea, good for you to cut off connections with her ! :) Don't worry, their is plenty of genuine women looking for a man !

Scam big time . Everyone has access to skype or tango on there phone or they could easily go to a cyber cafe and call you . Watch the show cat fish that's exactly what this is . You shouldn't send her money for a ticket you could easily buy it online and email it to her .

I understand that China may have more limitations on public access to certain webpages; however, how would someone living in Afghanistan have easier access to Skype than someone who immigrated to China?

If she was genuine she would still not be dumb enough to send a copy of her passport and work permit to a total stranger.

I've met a Philippine woman online who is living and working in China. We have been chatting for about six weeks. I would like to meet her over Skype but she does not have access to it. She wants to come to the US to visit me next month. She needs a tourist/visitor visa, the B-2. She says that to visit the US she must have a medical exam. She wants me to pay for her flight, visa and medical examine to the tune of about $1300. I would wire the money to the travel agent or to her. I don't want to send $1300 never to hear from her again. The site that I met here on says to never send money to anyone that you have not already met in person. I do not feel that I know her well enough to send the money. She is willing to stay at my home for 2 weeks during her visit. This is surprising. I would think that she would be concerned about her safety. But maybe she is willing to say this if in fact she's just after money and has no intention of traveling here. I should mention that she is gorgeous. She has sent me several photos, but for all I know it could be a guy (or girl) doing a scam. As they say "if it seems to good to be true".

She would go to the travel agents office to do all the documents, visa photo etc. but I figured out that the agent's office is about 500 miles from where she lives!

I have been honest with her about my concerns and all of the above details. She replied that I don't trust her, but has not answered to any of the details.

Do you know is a medical exam required on a B2 visa?

Any thoughts on this are appreciated, particularly if you have been in a similar situation where you were expected to send money for travel expenses or visa, etc.

Thanks

I think you already know the answer here; but the fact that she's sending beautiful photos can quickly obscure your sense of reason. You are definitely being scammed. First and foremost, you've been speaking for six weeks; if she wants to come visit in the United States, she can pay her own way. As a woman, I would not fly to a foreign country and stay with a man for 2 weeks that I have only spoken to for six weeks and never even seen by Skype! No way. Do NOT send the money; I guarantee you'd never hear from her again.
