Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 15, 2015
Embassy Review : My interview was on October 14 at 10 am . I approached he consular at 940 and was let in . I approached the window. Outside and they asked for my ds160 and 2 passport photos and interview letter . I then was let inside . I paid my visa fee in American dollars and was giving 2 receipts one for me and one I give to the officer .there were about 15 people there for k1visa 5 for tourist visa and another 6 people for spousal visa .busy day for interviews. About a hour later I was called to a window to give my certificates with translations and affadevit of support by a moroccon lady . First she said my fiancé didn't make enough which she did . So I gave her 2014 taxes and she said oh yea your right sorry . Always have backup taxes just in case . And a letter written by your job . I also handed over my divorce with translations and they only asked to see original divorce but did not keep it . I then was told to have a seat and I would be called . 2 hours went by and I was called to win dow 7 I did the interview in English was a nice American man . He asked my name my birthday how do I know my fiancé and how much time we have spent together when do I plan to travel to the U.S. . (My fiancé was outside waiting) he asked about my medical as doctor still is not done with file . He told me to drop it off at 3 on Monday . He did not ask for any photos or chats or text messages . He said I do not need that . He then said everything it's ok so your case is a little different you won't be picking your passport from aramex you will pick it from consular a week after we receive your medical . Which will be in 2 weeks . I would say just be yourself . Same as your having a conversation . And don't rely on bad reviews to assume that it's all bad . Out of all the k1 interviews on the 15 all were approved . It is not true when people say casablanca denies all k1 . Totally wrong . Just make sure to have backup information just in case . I had made a album but he never asked and chat logs but I had forgot them at the house so I guess I got lucky . Dress comfortable day of interview as you will be there for a few hours .
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
