IV/AOS package taking too long to be scanned at CEAC

We sent our AOS and IV applications all together on May 19th, and the delivery date according to USPS was May 21st. We called NVC on June 1st to make sure if they received the files. And according to the person who I talked to, he said that they did receive everything but they haven't updated it in the system. He also said to give them 30-45 days of time as there is a large number of files received this year at the NVC. The package has not scanned to the CEAC yet. So does anyone know, approximately how long this procedure could take and if I should call them again?

its suppose to take a little around 30 days from when they receive your documents, give or take a few extra days . With the whole system issues the past month i wouldnt be worried about them sending you the email, just maybe double check with them on the phone one more time to be sure. Their emails have been delayed as of lately, i just received an email this morning dated almost 15 days ago lol .

I am frustrated because what i know is once the IV/AOS package showed received on the ceac website that means they have started processing your case. It's almost 3 weeks but still our packages are not updated online shall i hope that the NVC will process my case within 30 days from the day they received the packages as they told me on the phone ?

It is taking people on average a little more then 30 days give or take a week, call and asked when they scanned your documents in whatever that date is the date to go by don't worry about it they never sent me an email in regards to mine but everything was fine .

I have never heard of such thing as when IV/AOS package showed received on the ceac website means they have started processing your case, those tabs usually remain as N/A. If they NVC told you they have received your case it means it has been put in the system already they told you 30 days because thats the ammount its taking to review your documents.

Ceac never shows anything other than N/A for the IV and AOS docs. The AOs fee going from PAID to N/Ameans a case complete but the other two N/A mean nothing at this time.

When you called them, did you get your scan date? The 30 to 45 days start counting from your scan date.

AOS/IV documents received will not update on CEAC's website, it will just remain as N/A, so don't worry about that. The important thing to find out is that NVC received your documents and what your scan date is. Normally, you'd get an email notifying you of your scan date, unless they got your email addresses wrong, like they did with us.

I would call them again and get your scan date, then you know when to roughly expect to hear something. Also, double check to make sure they have your correct email addresses.

If you have paid the AOS fee you can send the AOS package right now if u want. Or you can wait till u pay the IV fees and send both of the packages together. My advice would be sending the AOS package now, it will make the process quicker. If you have all ur AOS forms & financial documents ready then just send it as per the instructions by nvc.

Thanks alot. I got it now. We have received an email on 2 june from NVC which says they have received our documents of 21 may. We were just worried about the CEAC's website. Everything make sense now Hope to hear some good news soon without having any checklist. Thanks

I think the best thing for u to do is calling them and asking them the status of your documents. They received our packages on 21 May but didn't send us any confirmation email until we called them. After the convo with nvc they sent us the confirmation email on 2 June which says they received our file on 21 May and it will take up to 30 days. Call them to make sure that they have received your packages and its scanned.
