From my knowledge only your husband can go in to the embassy. They do not allow additional people in. You can check the kingston embassy VJ page. Also once visa is issued it takes about 3-5 days to be ready for pickup!!! They tell you way longer but everyone I know, including my mom that I petitioned last year got hers in 3-5 days.

Hey guys!

I haven't been on here in a while because life has been crazy busy. My wife had her interview on May 21st in Rio and she was approved! Which is of course awesome. However, we had the wrong police certificate at the interview and tho we sent them the correct one the same day, we are now in Administrative Processing. We have plane tickets for next weekend (yeah yeah you're not supposed to - but we did it anyway), and it states on the status check site that "This processing can take several weeks," which is freaking me out!

I know most people on here are pre-interview, but does anyone know about administrative processing? How long does it actually take? We are so close to being done (Finally!) and I'm terrified that it's all going to be ruined by this one little hang up.

My stepdaughter just had her medical exam and they are now saying that the doctor is trying to charge them $950 for the exam. The embassy website said the cost would be between $250-$600. She only had to get one vaccine (we had her do all the rest previously). I feel like I am being cheated and I don't trust that it could possibly cost that much. I don't believe it. I have never been able to get a hold of anyone in their office (it is constantly busy or goes to voicemail). Is it even possible to charge that much or is someone just trying to screw me over completely?

Also, when in this process can I stop hemorrhaging money :(
