So i got an RFE for I-751 stating that although I sent 2012/13 joint tax returns, lease agreement, 1 month bank statement, Vehicle Registrations, Insurance document, travel documents, monthly bills, utility statements, opies of credit cards and a picture of an ultrasound this is not enough evidence to support my marital relationship HUH!!!!!! Say again?????

It continues with:

The submitted bank statement only covers 1 month of your marriage and a minimal amount of usage. While this indicates these accounts exist in both of your names, absent other documentary evidence you have not demonstrated these accounts are used by both you and your spouse to manage common financial resources.

You submitted photocopies of credit cards. while this provides evidence of joint ownership, it is insufficient to establish a shared commitment of both parties to a log term relationship.

What a load of bunk! Good thing my child has since been born and we bought a house so i can send the birth certificate and deed or otherwise id be screwed lol what a joke. just wanted to vent thanks for reading :).

My Proposal to kristine!!! :)

You should submit more bank/credit card statements showing usage from the time you got married. One month is not enough.

Picking a month at random and sending bank / CC statements for that month over multiple years is a good way to show an ongoing relationship without mailing a couple of trees.

Consider crafting wills, medical powers of attorney, and similar documents. These make excellent evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

That's just bunch of BS! :ranting: Hang in there...you will prevail...

I can think of few things that may help...

1. You mention insurance documents. I assume you sent in proof

that she's covered under your health insurance?

2. Do you have a life insurance? If so, you can also show that she's the primary beneficiary.

3. Do you have IRA, 401K, and other financial accounts? If so, you can show that

she is the primary beneficiary.

4. If she is working, can you show that you two are depositing the money to the same account

and primary spending also comes out of this.

5. Joint name on house purchase and the child will definitely be a big plus!

6. If you guys are sending money to her family out of the joint account,

that could also be good.

7. Do you guys have health club membership or any other major activities that you two are

jointly participate? These records are good to show that you two are involved in joint activities.

8. Finally, definitely send in several months of financial (bank, credit/debit, utility bills) statements.

I sent in 6 months worth for many evidences I provided.

Best of luck!

I don't mean to hijack this thread - but it makes me roll my eyes. My (soon to be ex-) wife's petition was denied because I didn't go to the interview, but she said she is filing again. We had no joint accounts except on we used for a few days when she moved her money from overseas to the USA. We had no joint leases or ownership of property. When we moved in together, she threw me out after two days. While I made her the beneficiary on my accounts, she never made me the beneficiary on hers. She showed them one piece of mail addressed to both of us, an invitation to my brother's wedding - which she didn't even go to.

When I see people posting here who have what entirely appear to be legitimate, loving marriages, having a battle to get their 10-year green card, and some probably even getting denied, it would be the ultimate travesty if my ex isn't deported.

One month of statements isn't nearly enough to establish a relationship. We just got our approval today, we didn't receive an RFE and we also were not called for an interview. An ultrasound picture doesn't prove paternity, it just shows that you are pregnant. If you look at the guides it gives a list of suggestions and how much you should send,

This is just a sampling of what we sent. Joint bank statements-quarterly statements starting from when he arrived in 2012, joint health, dental and life insurance showing myself and my children the beneficiaries, a copy of the mortgage from the house we purchased together, joint car insurance statements, joint homeowners insurance, copy of drivers licenses showing shared address, 2 affidavits from friends, joint electric bills, joint oil heating bills, joint cable tv, joint ownership of cars, joint cars loan statements, joint cell phone bills, copies of passport stamps and plane tickets for the trip we took to Jordan with the kids last year, joint credit card statements, car registrations, joint tax returns from 2 years. All of the statements and bills I sent, I sent several months from each. I know I sent more but I simply cannot remember it all. Good luck
