Thanks.

Do they need the original signature of my husband in the I-864 or the copy is already enough.

I’m still living in UAE and will stay until I got the visa. The PCC was issued on Oct 8, 2014. Im just worried cause the certificate clearly mention that its only valid for 3 months.

Anything sumbitted at NVC you don't have to redo. The PCC is good. Use to be you had to go get new ones. I know this especially for Nigeria since there's is for 3 months but since NVC takes so long the embassies have got a heart and they are all good for a year so you are good to go.

I called the NVC this morning.

Me: I'm calling to see if I have an interview scheduled.

Operator: You "don't have an interview scheduled for January". (This was the first time an operator has said something so specific!).

Me: "Does that mean I won't be scheduled an interview in January?"

Operator: "No, not exactly....they are finished scheduling this round of interviews".

Me: "Are you scheduling another round this month?"

Operator: "I cannot say if they will or not."

Me: Thanks.

:) Wow, it's great to get this kind of information... support.... I mean.... ?

interview letter last page details document status.. If Financial Evidence is Y,D or O (NVC send this to Embassy or Consulate) then you are only required to bring photocopy. If you have an update on current salary and you are needed it to meet the requirements then go with a new I-864.

Thanks dnp2014

My wife arrived a week ago last Tuesday, December 2. All went well at the airport. The "cover page" on her folder ripped off in my computer bag and that caused a bump for a few minutes (as well as an additional bag scan) but after I finally realized what they were asking me for, everything went smoothly. Coming from Colombia to DC in December is the hardest transition she is having right now, as well as all of the slang used and speed in which English is spoken, but she is adapting very well.

Thanks to all for the support and information provided! :)

D- our case was completed yest and we are expedited for interview. Should we also email them or not until we know they have our papers

Kind of figured it was expedited after what you said what happened and what you posted your status was. Call the embassy now.

You should email the embassy with your case# in the the subject line and ask for your interview date. So you can go get your biometrics and medical. Do it now.

Good afternoon! My hubby's interview is 12/18/14! :dancing: I am sending his interview package to him on Thursday. I have two questions:

1. Should I send original photos or colored photocopies of photos as proof of our relationship?

2. Is it better to send an email document of interview package to hubby for him to print out, or should I send it to him via DHL?

I am at work and just thought of these questions, and have been unsuccessful in my google search. Any KIND and RESPECTFUL response would be greatly appreciated...thank you!

You are a CR-1 so the DS-160 does not apply to you only K-1 filers.

This is a list of things that you submitted to NVC or things that will be required for your spouse to submit at the Embassy. The codes to find out if you need to submit or if they already have what you submitted is on page 3. So on this page look at the letter/number code and compare it to page 3 and it will tell you what instructions you need to follow.

If somebody has to reschedule the interview date how we can do it? What is the procedure for it ?

Contact the US embassy in your country and ask them for a new date. Generally, you should be able to contact them via email if not phone.
