Finally my wife is in US. Her POE was smooth .. I want to take this oppurtunity to thank dwheels & Saylin for all the help during our process. They are doing an excellent job in helping everybody ,It was due to Saylins wiki that helped me and prevented me from making so many mistakes during NVC process. I also want to thank the other visajourney members dilmera.solenta Sukie for the guidance and help during the process . It was due to them that I could correct my one mistake in my AOS and resend the whole packet straight away instead of NVC pointing out the mistake......VISA JOURNEYERS ROCK !! Good Luck to everyone ....Process is moving fast as compared to what was the situation 2 months back......

Called NVC again today and still no interview at Cairo Egypt embassy yet. CC 11/13/2014 ... Does any one know if we still have a chance to get a Jan interview.? The rep was saying there should be a second round of scheduling after med Dec but I'm kinda worried and frustrated. :(:(:(

10/14 was the Last Case Complete on the List with Interview.

You andMaria&Abdo 11/18 are the only two waiting. I doubt if Egypt started they have been pretty good since end of summer. So keep faith alive.

Oh no allyinchicago. I know nothing of these matters what can be done? Is this something that the state department can intervene? Your senator or something? I am really sorry about all this.

Still praying for a miracle.

yes, I emailed my congressman who's be assisting me since march 2013 after the first denial and they said they couldn't do anything since it was an internal Israeli problem :(

then my husband went direct to the Israeli police waited 8 hours, they interviewed him, told him to come back the next day. he went back the next day another 8 hours and at the end told him to reapply for the permit again and yesterday found out denied again. wth and they don't tell him why he was denied.

so sorry did you try to change embassy like to Jordan, also get your local representatives involved. Best of luck.

thought about it but that would delay it several more months and I need my husband here urgently

Because Palestine does not have the US embassy, he has to go to Israel for the interview? And he cannot go into Israel? Sounds very ridiculous and frustrating that Israel would not give him a permit to go attend the interview.

Hang in there and I hope your husband's interview gets completed successfully.

yes Israelis make a Palestinians life very difficult in every aspect of life... I mean seriously Israel should be happy a Palestinian wants to immigrate, but no. and since the US doesn't recognize Palestine they don't have a consulate there so all Palestinians must use Jerusalem. crazy

WORST DAY OF MY LIFE --- i was issued a 221 (g) after my immigrant visa interview. they want more additional processing on me…from MONTREAL CONSULATE>…. and its NOT BECAUSE OF my marriage or validity of it. Its because I have a PhD in sciences. YEAH….apparently I am too educated to be in the USA. funny i got my education there.:angry::girlwerewolf2xn::alien::wacko::o so more additional processing….strange…i have been going to the USA 15 times….in the last year…they never needed to do it then…and suddenly now they do.

it can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 year. YES!!! so i am giving up on going there. All i can do is get my spouse here. i submitted the paperwork they wanted from me but i don't have any hope it will work at all. i have seen how much time they can make you wait…this is truly disgusting.:cry::cry:

I assume you have PhD in biological science? They will get your Mantis Check done which takes about 3 months if you have Canadian passport. I am just assuming this based on one case I read about here on VJ. That guy got his Mantis check done in 3 months and he had visa after.

Are you a Canadian Citizen though? Just hang in there, it shouldnt be too bad. Search around this site or google Mantis Check for more info.

One thing I will say Egypt is different than everyone else. So don't worry whether others are scheduling still or not. That's good that the Rep said that. Kepp callim I would call back Friday.Or whenever your nerves will allow. I so remember all those months with my Egyptian peeps waiting for 4,5,6 months oh the joy of a interview date was too much. So hang on. Good news is coming.

Probably fly to Cd. Juarez. I have a question, I just started a job and I don't want my employer to feel like she made wrong decision in hiring me in asking permission off work in January. So, can my wife go to interview with my mother or will it look bad if they were to ask "where is your husband: and she answers "working"? I know my mother will not be able to go in with her to Consulate. Mom will be going for support and companionship.

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html for additional information.

This is the message I get I'm I doing something wrong?

My case# is the one starting with SDO?

I feel so lost and stupid??

You said you are on 60 days? Have you got case complete? It sounds like your are still at NVC and you do not have case complete yet. The link dwheels gave you will only really be useful once you get case complete.

Just my two cents :)
