My wife's visa status changed from "Administrative Processing" to "Issued" last night. Does anyone know how to track where the visa is at or when it reaches the Visa Application Center for pickup? Her pickup location is the same city as the embassy. Thanks.

*** One post has been split into its own thread in the CR-1 Process forum, with title "Will My Absence Present a Problem at Interview? [split topic]." ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

:blink: Sorry this is me. I really am in the dark when it comes to waivers and such.

Now since the expedite was approved you say October 15th than that should mean it should be ay NVC or consulate for another interview right? Lord these people. Why they got to make things so hard. Like if you need a waiver why can't a waiver be filed with the dang petition and be approved same time like  . Or is that too much like right.

Lord please let me run immigration at least USCIS and NVC they really need to be run TOGETHER in Tandem. This Lonewolf ####### got to stop now. Okay my vent is over. Thank you for listening. :ot2:

I think I added too much information that confused the whole situation.. LOL

The waiver process is just like being stuck at the USCIS for the I-130. " the unknown"

I just really was wondering if you knew anything about who has access to the CEAC? Why all the updates if the USCIS is the one with the file? The waiver needs to be approved at the USCIS.

If the USCIS is communicating with the consulate then the consulate might be the one entering info into our case but the file doesn't go to the embassy until it gets approved... And we are still waiting for that.

You're right though, if you already know you need a waiver, why can't it be filed WITH the I-130?? Its bad enough he has to wait outside the country while it gets processed. That is why the provisional waivers boil my blood. :ranting: So if you break the law and enter illegally, you get to stay and wait in the country while they process your waiver... But if you do things the right way, you get to spend 2 years away from your spouse while you follow the law and wait for the waiver to be processed... Does this make any sense??? This process is backwards.....

and I thought expedites were supposed to be processed within 15 days... Obviously I was misinformed. Or could it just be me?? :sleepy:

So yea.... once the NSC approves our waiver, my husband has to go back to the embassy to continue his interview... He already got another police certificate and translation because we know they will need a new one. We were hoping to get back before Dec 17th so he doesn't have to pay for another medical..

OK, so I'm done ranting... Any info on the CEAC would be cool !!

Thanks for your response. I forgot how busy this thread gets. The waiver thread is dead and its full of people who are as clueless as me.. :bonk:

Interview on 1/21 for my spouse. Thanks for everyone's help. A special shout out to dwheels76. Good Luck to all. I saw someone mention about tracking documents to be sent by NVC to embassy. Where do you do that? Here?? - https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

Also, how long it takes for it to go to tracking after the receipt of interview letter.

Oh no allyinchicago. I know nothing of these matters what can be done? Is this something that the state department can intervene? Your senator or something? I am really sorry about all this.

Still praying for a miracle.

Congratulations. Once you see ceac say IN- transit in about 3 to 5 days you can track DHL (its not an exact science) to the embassy.
