Dear Dwheels.....plz respond to my post. Need ur help...looking to Jan VB,released today,my PD may get current in March. M spouse of LPR..F2A. I want to know that do i need to update my AOS I864? Bcz petitioner n joint sponsor has signed it on 9 March 2014,so it will b a year on 9 March 2015. If i gt IL for the date aftr 9 March...should i hv new AOS? Bcz signed n submitted AOS is going to b one year old in coming March..plz help me dear.

It depends if the next tax year will be due when your interview come up. Since the January VB is now at 5APR13 you are looking at maybe March being current looking at a April interview. So your sponsor would have to then have to have 2014,2013,2012 taxes complete and a new I-864 and you also.

Were you gven instructions when you picked up your Visa? The Alien # starts with A0 and I believe 9 digits. DOS(Department of State) Case number is your NVC case#

  During your U.S. embassy or consulate appointment, you should have received an immigrant data summary stapled to the front of your immigrant visa package. You can find your A-Number and DOS Case ID at the top of the immigrant data summary, as shown in the picture below.

Ok thank u so much. But 2014 tax return will b filed in April so it wont b needed. I just need to update 2013 tax details right?

Yesterday I got email from NVC regarding my interview which is scheduled on 01/14/2015. My case got approved on 11/21/2014.

The I-864 is good until next tax season or if something changes between NVC sand interview otherwise nothing needs to be updated.

Example. Many people filed an extension well you had to October to file so those people would have had to have updated I-864 at interviews.

If you no longer live in the country you don';t need a new police certificate. If you still live there and its more than a year yes you need a new PCC.

Do they need the original signature of my husband in the I-864 or the copy is already enough.

I’m still living in UAE and will stay until I got the visa. The PCC was issued on Oct 8, 2014. Im just worried cause the certificate clearly mention that its only valid for 3 months.

Yesterday I got email from NVC regarding my interview which is scheduled on 01/14/2015. My case got approved on 11/21/2014.

I just called NVC and spoke with Karla. She told me:

-No interview scheduled yet for us

- They have already finished scheduling interviews for the first part of January 2015.

- They will be scheduling round 2 of interviews starting next week.

So I guess we will need to wait until next week to find out IF we get a January interview.

interview letter last page details document status.. If Financial Evidence is Y,D or O (NVC send this to Embassy or Consulate) then you are only required to bring photocopy. If you have an update on current salary and you are needed it to meet the requirements then go with a new I-864.
