Well, with the interview from hell thread, they were in a high fraud risk county.

I am in Australia, low risk.

For the petition we just wrote met on facebook, talked for a while etc

Didn't go into specifics about how I added her.

Only reason I ask is because I added her randomly. There was no mutual friends, and that interview from hell thread worried me because they wanted to know specifics and they wanted to know mutual friends names

high fraud or low fraud doesn't matter, they want specifics no matter the country you are from. I was at the interview with my husband, the CO interviewed me as well seperately from my husband, he asked my husband and I how we met on facebook. My husband is not from a high fraud country.

Question 34.a of Part 2

I planned a vacation in March of 2014 to visit the Philippines for duration of 2 months. I also joined a dating website, xxxxxxxxx.com, during that month. While on the site, I met Bea XXXXXXXX and began a friendship via e-mail, text message and video chat. We met the night of May 6 in her hometown in Davao City, Philippines. By May 17, our relationship became more than friendship and I spent the remainder of my time in the Philippines (until June 24, 2014) with her.

as you can see in our signature timeline below, we got engaged after 6days of being an 'official' couple. Our application got approved and didn't have any problem so far. We'll have our interview next week but I really feel confident (but i'm already expecting they might grill me on the whirlwind romance part). anyhow, just back up your application with photos when you spent time personally. Good luck on your journey!

Jordan is high fraud, it is a MENA country. Only VWP countries are low fraud, plus Canada. Yes it does matter what country the beneficiary is from and where the interview takes place. An interview in Nigeria or Pakistan is WAY different than lets say in Norway or Switzerland.

False. Argentina is not a VWP and they are not high-fraud.

False. Argentina is not a VWP and they are not high-fraud.

Well yeah, not high fraud as Nigeria. Argentina and Uruguay was once in the Visa Waiver Program but they got kicked out.

"Eligibility for the visa waiver may be withdrawn at any time. Usually this may happen if the United States feels that citizens of a certain country are more likely than before to violate their VWP restrictions, such as working without a permit or overstaying their allowed period of stay in the United States. Accordingly, Argentina's participation in the VWP was terminated in 2002 in light of the financial crisis taking place in that country and its potential effect on mass emigration and unlawful overstay of its citizens in the United States by way of the VWP. Uruguay's participation in the program was revoked in 2003 for similar reasons. "

So how is Argentina not high fraud? I am sure the US didn't withdraw the eligibility for the visa waiver for no reason.

You're assuming there is no middle ground between super high-fraud countries and countries that are low-fraud enough to be part of the VWP. I think that's a false dichotomy.

Gosh after reading the painful interview process mentioned in the post "interview from hell"; we are scared like pussycat.

I mean yesterday night and this morning, all we discussed was about that interview and how do we start collecting more evidence.

i have made up my minds

  • one fat file with info of I-130 (USCIS STAGE)
  • one fat file with AOS and IV (NVC STAGE DOCX)
  • one fat file with the emails of ours
  • one fat file with the phone bills and photos of ours
  • one fat file with the emails of our frens and family (series of emails being sent back and forth on random topic)
  • And one fat file with the receipt of gifts, post, post cards sent and received etc
  • Not to mention out joint account statement in Nepal and in US too and all other supporting documents and affidavit of our relationship from people we know etc etc.. I am going to load myself with all info coz i cant pay the price of denial.. That will cost the happiness of my wife. No way.

This is going to come with me to embassy. we already have 3000 pages of email and by the time we reach embassy, i am sure we will have another 3000 pages of emails being compiled into a many word files. And i am dead sure to print atleast 1500 pages which will show we share everything and care about each other.

I am going to keep every single receipts.. I used to throw away the receipts.. Now i am going to collect every single piece and file.

All the best to every one out there... Cheers

OP, I don't think you'll have any problem. In our case it was unusual that we met at all. But it's certainly not unusual to meet someone from Australia!

Also, they just wanted to know how we met through facebook. I think it's perfectly legitimate to say that you were just randomly adding people. I've done the same thing. A lot of people have done that. I think they'd be perfectly fine with that answer. They want the truth. And the truth makes sense in your case, so just tell them the truth if they ask. However, I doubt very much that they'll ask.
