It wasn't me so I have no idea if this is what happened, but on the I-864EZ at least there is a box that unchecks itself when you check another one <_< I think it's the question about being a US citizen that gets unchecked when you check the one about the tax information you're providing. We had to write the X with a pen. You should always read every form after you print it no matter what but just a warning that even the forms are broken. -_-

Oh goodness! Thanks for sharing.

Hello everyone, first let me say that this forum is a great resource for folks who are going through very intense NVC process, not to mention uniting families. I just wanted to share my opinion from what I noticed on this forum lately, I see forum gets populated with tons of pages, mostly with "checking in my X month(s) at NVC" or "what is the latest scan date" or etc., while this might be ok to update but at the same time there are multiple questions unanswered because they buried into above mentioned posts.

I understand that every question cannot be answered on this forum but I think it should get at least a chance so that other people who went through same process might be able to help in some ways.

Hi, we've already been over all this drama in September and a Rant/Support thread was created for content that didn't add to the thread. Now what happened is that there's content on both, just with varying degrees of non-content. I agree the "checking in" posts don't add anything but that's just something people do when the new thread is created. I don't really see too much of that later on. I disagree with you on the rest, however, because the latest scan date/CC is actually my main reason for visiting the thread, and possibly for most people that already sent their packages to NVC. People usually post when they get a CC, but some members are on Facebook groups and other places I don't frequent so replies to the "latest scan date" question are valuable.

This thread is not an NVC-how-to (that's what the wiki and the NVC site are for!) but, that said, in my experience questions are usually answered. I had questions before I sent my packages, and then I asked a few days ago about my false checklist, and I've always gotten at least one answer.

So sorry :( Please tell us which box you forgot.

It was part 3 item 7....I am really kicking myself about it....such a no brainer and we checked the 1-864 forms a dozen times or more before putting them in the mail and still we missed it .

Thanks, don't be too hard on yourself though. This is a rather convoluted process not made easier with the added stress.

I probably shouldn't respond to this since my mood is not the best at the moment....but since I am one that "checked in" I will. Checking in for most of us is like a roll call . Just saying hey...I am still with you all even if I don't have a lot to say at the moment. I am not good at giving out technical info about the immigration forms or process but that is what the guides are for .I come here to NOT feel alone is this crazy stressful process and congratulate or commiserate with fellow VJ members or to glean little bits of hope. Your comment gives me pause as to whether I will "check in" any longer and that is not fair.

I for one totally agree with everything you said. I wish people will understand and be a little tolerant. Thanks Ameridutch.

Hey there!

You know you should send all packages together ? that is nvc requirement now. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html not doing so can lead to delays "Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package. Really Nanana? Thanks for highlighting that. I read all the NVC steps and never "read" it like that. I read elsewhere that they could be sent in two packages. Thanks again.
