Hi July filers!! We just sent our packet today (certified and return request!)

So the next steps are:

Wait for the NOA (3 of them: 485, 765, 131)

Wait for the biometrics appointment

Wait for the EAD card( does AP [131]) come with it?

Wait for interview appointment

Also does the WAC number from the NOA check the status of all 3 Forms?

I think it just depends upon the office and how busy they are. I just told them that I happened to be in town (an hour away from my home) and asked if I could do it there and then to save me from having to drive back. They were fine about it although I had to wait until all the scheduled appointments had been seen. Saying that I only waited 30 minutes start to end.

If you have applied for EAD & AP you'll get a combo card for both.

You will get a separate MSC receipt number for the AOS, EAD & AP - three receipt numbers in total.

The National Benefits Centre used to be called the Missouri Service Centre and that's where the MSC comes from.

Last night I received notification that our application was received. The post office delivered it on 7-8 and notification that it was received by USCIS was sent out on 7-27, 19 days after delivery. I sent our application via regular mail and it was sent to the PO Box in Chicago. I am wondering if the people who received faster notifications had their applications delivered directly to the office mailing address via overnight delivery? If that is the case, it would be worth the $30-$50 delivery feed to get it accepted about two weeks earlier.
