You have to wait on the biometrics letter to try to do the walk in. I'm in the same waiting situation for biometrics letter.

Yes you still get RFE after NOA1.. The NOA1 is just a notice that they got ur packet and will give you your Case Number.

Hi all,

Just a theory...

Have you checked https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do;jsessionid=bacxfcgz-Kn6d-SBP0TEu for case status? All my case numbers were consecutive numbers.

You might want to check the consecutive numbers before or after your case number.

Example if it case MSCXXXXXXXXX4 for I485.... check MSCXXXXXXXXX5 or MSCXXXXXXXXX6 or the one after for your I131.

If you punch in the next set and get another I485 then you could be on someone else's case number series....

None of this is guaranteed but this is just based on what I was noticing speaking to another person in the same situation.

"Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS


Your Case Status: Testing and Interview


On August 8, 2014, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for September 10, 2014. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

OMG I wasn't expecting to get this sooooo fast!!!! I am still in shock.

I am adjusting from another pending i-485 application. I was a dependent of my mom's pending I-485 through employment (EB3 category).

I'm not sure if this makes any difference? My case was also transferred to Nebraska Service Center. My interview will be in Santa Ana.
