Is it too much for proof?

I sent about 4 pages of emails and 4 pages of skype chat from different days spread over the time we had corresponded. It was apparently enough.

I'm sure it depends on all kinds of factors, though. You need enough to convince the reviewer that your relationship is legitimate.

My own case was probably low suspicion as we are both in our 50's.

The I-129F does not require the adjudicator to decide if your relationship is legit or not. That is what the CO will decide at your K-1 visa interview.

The I-129F has 3 main requirements: that you are both free to marry at the time the petition is filed, that you both intend to marry within 90 days of entry with the K-1 visa, and that you have been together in person, face-to-face within the 2 years prior to filing. The relationship evidence is not required to approve an I-129F. Putting in the relationship evidence is so that it will already be in your file when the CO looks at it for the visa interview.

There are a lot of situations where the CO has already made up his/her mind about the validity of the relationship and they refuse to accept

or go through and read any further relationship proof at the time of the interview. This happens in high risk countries and red flag relationships.
Front loading is therefore important so that all initially submitted evidence reaches the CO before the interview.
I would never just submit the required minimum. It is embassy specific and there is no -one- fits- all generalization.
Nepal is somewhere in between easy peasy and high risk so do more than the minimum in my opinion.

Research front loading as it refers to your own embassy and what their pattern is. Learn from those who went before through your embassy

and what worked and did not work for them.

Exactly, our story sounds as horrid as yours. First it's 16 months in AP, then it's "You need more proof" and then it's " I have no time to read all that" followed by "I have a gut feeling"....that was round one, over and out.

Ready for round two soon, 5 years and counting.

No list that I know of....best to cruise through the appropriate regional forums where you'll get a flavor of the Embassies and their "issues".

They will not look at CD's. Theres too much security for them to put other peoples CDs in to their system.

Best to send them hard copies. Theres never too much proof you can send them but make sure you show them a lot of information proving you guys met and did things together.. Copies of boarding passes for joint trips, tickets to movies.. Then the stuff showing your engaged, letters from both of you with intent to marry, all of your proofs showing you guys are legitimately engaged like a copy of the receipt for the ring..

Most of the proof will be needed for the consulate. For the Fiancee visa I personally seen a consulate officer ask for the persons login information for facebook 5 minutes later they came back and said all approved go pay DHL and you will get your visa in a week.

Hello everyone,

I am thinking about filing for K-1 Visa. I have completed all the required documents but I was wondering if this is too much proof.

So far I have:

about 6 pages of skype call log

about 25 pages of skype chat log

about 10 pages of sms while I was with her

about 15 page of facebook chat log

about 10 page of viber chat log

about 20 pictures

and some receipts.

I was hoping if some one could help me with this process.

I think it's too much. I've read somewhere that it shouldn't be more than 7 photos, and a few pages of each of those is enough. The most important is passport stamps and tickets etc.

They just need to be sure you have a relationship and that you've met in the last 2 years. They don't need to read or know all of your conversations and see all your photos.

If the evidence is too much, they just need more time to analyse all of them and it can only longer the process.

I don't think it's too much at all. We took 300+ pages of viber messages (in 8 point font) and 200+ pages of Skype logs (also in 8 point font) to our meeting, as well as a printout of our entire shared fb interactions. The more the better! They may not ask you for it, but it can't hurt to submit it/take it with you to the interview.
