I remember when I used to have to go to the Job Centre a few years ago, this kid was making excuses to not have to apply for jobs online. His advisor said there were libraries, internet cafés and other resources he could use, so she would stop his JSA if he didn't do it. I'm sure your fiancé can find access to a computer and printer if he really tries, so you're not having to wait so long to send physical documents to each other. Stuff I send my husband always takes a week or more. Can you wait that long?

Only send documents that he can't produce himself (certified copies, originals, stuff with your signature). Having to courier something that he can easily print out is just wasting time and money. Like what other folks said, invest on a cheap printer. My printer/scanner/photocopier has saved us so much time and courier fees plus the stress of compulsively tracking a parcel.

Our letters of intent, were hand written, both mine, and my wife's.,.,, err ah.,., mine was 3 and 1/2 pages long., I just had a lot to say! hahhahaha

Seriously it's been in customs for ONLY 12 hours and you want to send him a printer? You don't think a printer will need to go through customs? He doesn't have access to someplace that can print it for him, something similar to an office max or staples in the UK? I find that difficult to believe. This process is only just beginning and you are stressing yourself out far too much. During the process we didn't know VJ existed until after our case was at the NVC and we did it all on our own, we had very big red flags and we didn't have any rfe's or delays. People need to relax and not check the ceac site, call the NVC and consulates every 5 minutes. This site is a great resource for DIY information, but it also makes people freak out when read horror stories or when they see other's cases moving faster by even milliseconds. Take a deep breath you have plenty of time to respond to the RFE.

like someone said earlier,you will be doing a lot of printing before the process is over so might be best to send him a printer...saves you the hassle of going through customs every time you send him something that can be easily printed

This is the year 2014..Plenty of internet cafe around. UK for God sake your husband should be more proactive...Dont waste the money on mailing and end up causing you headaches.

I gave a link earlier for a UK business where she could go online and purchase a UK printer, scanner, copier for £35 and they would deliver free to him. Maybe he doesn't know how to set up a printer or have computer skills or transportation to a library or how to handwrite something that can be one sentence long. There must be reasons why she has to do even the simplest things for him.

I used the library printer, I think its 10p a copy, they also have fax machines you can use too….1.50p per item outside the UK :-)

either write it, pens can be bought very cheaply, get a cheap printer or go to the library.
