My I-751 package: I think I have everything I can possibly throw at them.

What do you guys think?

  • Cover letter
  • Check for $590
  • Completed and signed I-751
  • Copy of front & back of current I-551
  • Copies of our driving licenses
  • Joint lease agreements from January '15 to now (I moved here in November 2014 and we signed the first joint agreement in December 2014)
  • Joint bank account statements and debit cards (we don't have joint utilities, but we pay for them all via this account and split the costs). We opened this account in December 2014 and I have included every statement we have received since then.
  • Federal tax return transcripts for 2014 and 2015
  • State tax return transcripts, same years
  • City tax return receipts and statements/bills, same years
  • Copy of my SS card showing our address
  • Joint car title and registration
  • Joint purchase and financing documents of said car. The car loan payments come out of our joint bank account. We bought this car in August 2015.
  • Joint health insurance statements, bills and ID cards for 2015 and 2016 (we had no coverage in 2014 and were exempted in our federal returns)
  • Medical POA documents for each of us naming the other as the MPOA. Signed July 2016.
  • Update of United Kingdom voter registration for me, to show my new address in the States
  • Joint auto insurance from April 2015 to present. First we were with Geico who sent us monthly statements (I included these), then we switched to Progressive who don't send monthly statements, but we pay for it out of the joint account. For Progressive, we just included the six-monthly renewal documents.
  • My pay stubs from September 2015 onwards (when I finally got a job!) showing our address
  • My W-2 for 2015 showing our address
  • E-ticket, accompanying passport stamp and photos of a trip I took in August 2014 (before I moved here) while our CR-1 was processing. I lost the boarding passes looooong ago.

Does this look good?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

Looks good! The only thing I can think of is retirement account beneficiaries if you have any, and living wills, maybe pictures but they always say pictures are secondary evidence, but I think that you have strong evidence already

Good, I feel even more confident now :D

Neither of us have retirement accounts (bad, I know) or living wills (I swear we will do these some day!). There are a couple of pics from the trip that I put in, otherwise yeah I didn't include any. Wanted to give my poor printer a rest! I've gone through two black ink cartridges already with this petition lol.

  • Copy of my SS card showing our address

Your list is very solid. I do not think our list was anywhere close to that.

The SS card does not have address. Maybe you meant DL cards for both of you showing the same residence you share. In any case, if you did not think of including copies of DL please do.

My SS card came attached to a slip with my address on it. I never detached it from that slip and photocopied the whole thing. I wanted to show that I didn't enter the US just to do a vanishing act lol.

I suggest you do a table ofcontents and mark each peice of evidence that is listed on toc. It helps USCIS find evidence and will most likely make it easier for you. It takes time but in my opinion is worth the effort. Good luck

I created a contents list in the cover letter and put everything in the package in the same order to make it easier for them ^_^ Definitely a good idea because it does help them. Aaaaaand, as you say, it helps you visualise what's in there without having to dig through it like OMG DID I REMEMBER THE TAX RETURNS lol

That being said, I did double check everything was in there after I put everything in the package. Be kind of awkward if you list something on the contents page and then forgot to put it in!

I believe that if you make it easy for USCIs to find the information, easy to read and complete their list of evidence it reduces most of RFE's.

Another thing, do your homeowork on how long it should take per form to get a reply.
