This is so stupid what has happened to you guys. I dont think it is the gap age - 9 years - it is nothing ! - Comparing to others that have like 30years difference but it still

so low of what they have said .

According to her, she was just given her passport back without papers.

I'm really really not trying to sound rude, but that doesn't sound right-

Regardless I hope there's a happy ending to this story somewhere...

Can I sue for discrimination?

Highly doubtful. But GOD BLESS. I am so sorry this is happening to you. Good luck.

In Kiev embassy Ukraine. My fiance said her visa was denied because I was ugly and she was too pretty to love me. This is quoted by an American officer - Is this not sexual harassment? Also, isn't there a law that requires a valid reason? I lived with my fiance overseas and we have been engaged for over a year. I currently am in America proving I can support her. Apparently, none of the documents mattered. I have plenty of evidence for a bona fide relationship as I was overseas working and that is how I met her. I lived with her for 3.5 months. Plenty of photos, etc. She said people outside of the embassy said she could interview again in 14 days. Has anyone ever heard of this? It looks like I will travel back to the Ukraine very soon. Any help here is appreciated.

Sorry this is happening to you. But perhaps the embassy employee that said that to her was flirting....of course this would be soooo inappropriate under the circumstances. But then again proving this would be a he said she said circumstance. Your fiance must be very beautiful, at least you have that going for you. I am 36 years older than my wife. She is a beautiful 20 year old Filipina and I an aging 56 year old American. Talk about beauty and the beast. The interviewer could see that we were in love and we passed the CR-1 interview in Manila, no problems so I highly doubt the age difference is a problem here.

I'm very sorry this happened to you. Very saddening. It is extremely disconcerting for the rest of us, CR-1 or K-1. It makes me wonder if K-1s are easier to deny because there has been no marital bond established yet. Does anyone agree with that statement?

Someone is being a fed a line of BS. Most likely YOU. Possibly US.

If the visa was denied she cannot interview again. The petition will be sent back to USCIS and you will be notified of the official reason for denial. It will NOT be because you are ugly.

some possibilities...

1. You are making this up for fun

2. She is making it up because she does no twant to marry you, did not go to the interview and is feeding you BS

If you are not making this up, then you may want to check with the consulate and see if she even showed up for her interview

One more thing to consider. If in fact "she" is hoodwinking you perhaps the suggestion by her that she can go back to re-interview is a reason for her to prolong the milking of your finances...She CAN NOT go back and get re-interviewed in 2 weeks. If she is telling you this she is lying, and perhaps looking for more support from you as her time runs out in this ruse. I hope this is not the case but you might want to investigate further. I wish you well.

You don't think the consulate would deny someone for such a reason? Just curious about your line of thought.
