Don't do it! Period! You will encounter problems as you mush clear immigration when you return to the USA. The Jones act requires that the ship makes an international stop before returning to the USA... Thus, customers and immigration... Hawaii (not on a cruise unless it is a USA flagged ship) however is a wonderful honeymoon experience!

48? Are you saying Hawaii and Alaska aren't allowed until you have Advanced Parole?

You can travel to Hawaii and Alaska. The poster who said this is wrong. Even Puerto Rico is allowed.

Thank you all for taking trouble to reply. Having asked the audience i am going with D. DON'T DO IT!

I am going to stick with original plan, flight to Boston spend a few days there then travel to Plymouth Rock and Mystic Bay then up to Vermont and New Hampshire and finish off over on the coast round Bar Harbor and back to Boston calling in at Salem. I am hoping we might get to do it all in the fall, Come on London send me my interview date.

I AM READY

Aside from the visa logistics - If it's that Carnival cruise from Galveston to Jamaica/Grand Cayman/Cozumel, I've been on it and it's horrible. You will not enjoy your honeymoon if you do it. The food is cafeteria quality, it is extremely noisy day and night, there are no shows - just the cruise director up on stage trying to be funny, drinks are watered down and overpriced, "comedians" are vulgar to the point of obscenity.

Anyway, that was my experience.
