CASE COMPLETE!!

86th day of NVC processing. Sooooo effing happy!!

(NVC received our checklist June 19th)

Woohoo, congrats!! kicking.gif

Hey Guys, Sent my wife's DS-3032 (choice of agent) the other day, and I was wondering, how do I find out if it has been accepted or not?

Another question is that Im getting all my I-864 documents ready, just waiting for the status to change to PAID. I was wondering, what is the best way to send this? Via priority mail? USPS? And where did you place your documents (what type of envelope)? Thanks guys!

In most cases, they'll email in response to your email saying it was accepted. You can also call to find out. The ultimate way of knowing it was accepted though is that the IV bill is invoiced.

You can send it whatever way you want to. But, I'd highly suggest getting tracking, so you know when it gets there. I would also suggest putting the package inside a manila envelope, then put that envelope into a mailing envelope. On that manila envelope, I'd suggest writing both of your full names, the case number, as well as the title of the package (in this case: Affidavit of Support package).

Finally Case complete.

Congrats!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I want to add, that my husband was unemployed until 1st july. He has just started his job. so he was listed as a dependent on his brother's tax receipts. he does not have enough income. he himself relied on his brother's income up till now. now plz guide me which forms? i 864a (household member form which would add up his july income and all of his brother's) or separate i-864 form.. Apart from his brother, their mother also lives in the house who is also a dependent on his brother. so his brother was responsible for his mother and my husband both. Now my husband has filed my case, and gotten a job in July. No taxes paid up till now. Kindly also tell me he includes his brother in his household size to combine his income (i.e 3), would that affect anything.. (i.e not mentioning his mom as he does not pay for his mom..his brother does)

I want to ask that my husband was unemployed until 1st july. He has just started his job. so he was listed as a dependent on his brother's tax receipts. he does not have enough income. he himself relied on his brother's income up till now. now plz guide me which forms? i 864a (household member form which would add up his july income and all of his brother's) or separate i-864 form.. Apart from his brother, their mother also lives in the same house who is also a dependent on his brother. so his brother was responsible for his mother and my husband both. Now my husband has filed my case, and gotten a job in July. No taxes paid up till now. Kindly also tell me he includes his brother in his household size to combine his income (i.e 3), would that affect anything.. (i.e not mentioning his mom as he does not pay for his mom..his brother does)

Okay since his brother claims him as a dependant, then your husband signs a completed I-864. His brother signs an I-864A OR an I-864 (his choice) so they can combine their income or not. Your BIL (brother in law) needs to claim himself, your husband, his mother and you on his I-864A. So that is 4 people he needs to be above the poverty line for. $29,437 minimum per year. If he doesn't qualify on his own he can combine income with his brother (your husband.) It really doesn't matter which form he signs since he claims your husband as a dependant.

I also gave you advice already that says what they can use to show they live in the same residence but I'll write it again. They should show their birth certificates, that is correct, then copies of their driver's license, leases/mortgage in both names, any bills in both names or mail that goes to the house for each of them separately but same address.
