hi everyone,

thought i'd just drop a note and let you wonderful people know that my visa has been approved. I had my interview on Aug 1st, although not without some drama (AOS form was missing a page) but that all didn't matter since I got approved. jest.gifjest.gifjest.gif

Picked up my passport on Aug 2nd, and leaving for the States tomorrow, Aug 6th. Very excited as I haven't seen my husband for about 3 months! Hopefully POE will be uneventful and we'll soon be reunited. He asked me if he should give me a hug or do a side-hug since my belly is so much bigger than when I left the US in May! I'm due the first week of Oct so we're going to have a lot to do before our firstborn gets here!

Thanks for your help, eveyone, and good luck to those still going through this journey. It's been a long wait (we applied Aug 18 2012) but it's so worth it!

Woohoo, congrats! kicking.gif

Make sure you keep that sealed envelope with you on the airplane; don't pack it in any checked baggage. Have a safe flight tomorrow :)

Today I paid the AOS bill. On average how long does it take to for the NVC to generate the IV bill?

Typically the IV bill is invoiced a few days after the DS-3032 is accepted and added to the case file. When did you send in the DS-3032?

PS: Join us in the August thread. July is long over :P

My husband emailed the Ds3032 yesterday.

You're probably looking then at 1-2 weeks until they get to your email.

We were invoiced for AoS and IV at the same time and both were PAID status in early July. We have a case number and cover sheets. We had a delay for a bit getting the original documents from Russia to the USA, but we submitted our AoS on August 1st and on the 12th we submitted the DS-230 packet. Both were received by NVC.

Yesterday I got a letter from NVC dated on Aug 12 stating they cannot locate our petition and to send a scan of our NOA2. This seems to be the day we mailed the DS-230 so I can assume it was triggered by the AoS.

My question is, how can they not be able to locate our petition when that is exactly what should have triggered the start of the AoS and IV invoicing?

They had me send some information via eMail, but my confidence in this system is really going out the window. This is the second time now, somewhere in their system, someone has screwed up and we're already behind several months because USCIS screwed up. (Filed I-130 in January!!)

I am a bit confused as to which month of NVC filers I should be on. I filed I130 March 20th 2013 and received NOA 2 on June 15th 2013. Should I be in March or June?

Neither: August, the CURRENT month. So, once August is over, everyone moves to September, then October, etc etc.
