Your husband is crazy and stupid but he is truly wonderful, please don't be so hard on him and pls don't divorce him, he made a mistake by being honest for some reason, what's more important is that he didn't cheat/betray yousmile.gif A year of wait isn't that bad if you think of forever - I am the beneficiary

Well he is sticking to his guns!! He says when the interview comes he will again be honest. I speak with him mom all the time and she advocates he is a honest man fer sure!!

Some folks have more standards than others.. I am thankful truly we will be victorious I am sure. I just spoke with our lawyer and informed her she feels he did the right thing and as long as the test is negative that should not be held against him. She does not feel it will affect the decision. I put all my faith in my Father see my husband is what I asked him for a honest man, a true man, a man of God. And that he is I a bit disappointed by he says he is going to do Great things for GOD. Yes for some reason it took a very long time to get approved. Evilness wants to trick me into believe it has prevailed over us. The Devil is a lair and a snake and has no dominion over anything in our lives.. I trust HIM completely

**bracing for the flames**

I think the real problem here is the U.S. government, for making marijuana illegal in this country. Or more appropriately, the people who vote for lawmakers who still have those archaic/uninformed/fear-based beliefs.

I'm sorry, but I cannot agree with you. Marijuana is illegal in many countries, including Jamaica where the OP's spouse is from, and not since yesterday. The 1-year ban for weed smokers has been in place for quite some time, and from what I understand it used to be harsher in the past. You play by the rules, you win by the rules. No matter how unfair they may seem to you.

And btw the US has no lesson to give to anyone in regards of smoking weed as their citizens are the biggest users in the world!

Are you sure it was 4 years ago and not this week..Hmmm

I have seen both options on other threads.

Tell the truth or risk a LIFETIME ban...plain and simple. I really don't like the fact there are so many people advocating to lie. Where is the line? immigration? taxes? murder? The law is the law. Deal with it, work to change it, move where there are laws you can live with, but above all follow them or do the time/pay the price for not thinking it applies to you. End of story!

Finished!

Yes there is a difference... this is called a level ! I mean up to today i didn't know there were so many perfect people in this world who never did anything wrong.

So the other day i threw my cigarette butt off my window should i say it at my interview? Because i clearly broe a law right there.

Let me ask you this, if a policeman was on the street below, saw this happen and came up and asked you if you did this, would you have said yes or lied ?

O yeah and tell me you never even tried weed !

Thats one thing im proud i can say, ive never smoked a cigarette or weed in my life.

Now that you have thought about it....will you do it tomorrow? will you be surprised if you get pulled over for breaking the law? I never said I do not break the law (such as speeding etc.) but I will admit my guilt and pay the price if questioned as yes I did wrong. Did you not read that part?

Interestingly, marijuana is now legal in several states and not just medical...

Lola, you will find in the US people are much more honest than in France. Lying doesn't get you anywhere here. Welcome to America.

(I am a French historian and have been to France many many times, so my comments are not based on "prejudice".)

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
