Actually you cross a yellow line that states you are leaving the secure area and then walk no more than 100 Meters to the security screening to get from Concourse B to Concourse C (Terminal 1 to Terminal 2). Why can't they have a way to get there without exiting the secure area? At least it is not as bad as Heathrow where they have some secuiry areas before check-in so you can miss your check-in going thru security as they let everyone through.

LHR--London Heathrow, they cancel flights when two snow flakes get together--rating 5.6

I believe you are confused Hall 1 or Terminal 1 is for Lufthansa or Condor airlines all other airlines use Hall 2 or Terminal 2. These two terminals are about 1/4 mile apart and you have to leave one terminal by train to go to the next (one or two). As in any airport in the US if you leave a secure area you must be re-screened and if you fly out on a US airline from Frankfurt the US airline will re-screen you again. When you enter the international zone you have been screened and if you stay in it will not be screened again except to fly on a US airline.

ROV Rostov-on-Don Russia One of the oldest and most inefficient typically Russian airports I have ever seen. Worse than the old SVO terminal 1 in Moscow. Had to pay a bribe ($20) to get through security with my unregistered visa. I think they have two "gates" but they bus you out to the plane and keep you standing outside the plane in the rain or snow and then everyone shoves and pushes to get up the stairs into the plane.

APF Naples FL very small, free parking, if only we had a major carrier again.

RSW Fort Myers FL (Regional South West) New, clean, bright and airy. A lot of airline choices.

We arrive in Concourse B--in Terminal 1--on a flight from Denver to Frankfurt on Lufthansa. But if you stay in Concourse B you do not have to be rescreaned. I only have to show my passport and boarding pass when entering Concourse C's secure area.

But the point is I do not want to leave the secure area, they just make you leave when walking from Concourse B to Concourse C and I find that contrary to German efficiency..

Yes,this also happens when you arrive in the US from another country, you must be re-screened prior to boarding another aircraft for any where in the US.

BNA- Nashville. 8.5. I have never had a complaint once in my numerous times flying in. Security takes no more than 5 minutes. Easy to navigate. Staff are beyond friendly. I can usually be off the plane and have my baggage in 10 min flat. Clean and friendly.

YYZ- Pearson Int'l Airport Toronto. 8. Very modern but it can be a tad slow. Have waited over an hour on more than one occasion to pass through U.S. customs (but never coming home). Security checkpoint staff are usually a bit prickly. If you are in one of the outer gates (which I always am flying to Nashville) be prepared for a LONG walk. Even with this ungodly length, baggage still often takes awhile to be brought to the carousels. The Maple Leaf lounge is worth the price of admission (unlimited food, booze, magazines and relaxing and the better wifi, but there is still free wi-fi throughout the entire airport.

MCO-- 8. Clean and modern.

MIA- Miami Fl.I give it a low 5.

POS-Port Of Spain-Piarco Int'l Airport. Small airport, simple design.Customs and imigration has improved tremendously in the last few years.I give it an 8.
