Well the most obscure and 'rustic' airport I ever flew into was ODY which would be the airport in Oudomsay Laos (or Muang Xai depending on who you ask).  It was almost 20 years ago when I went through there, but it really doesn't look like they have upgraded the facilities in the interim. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fqNwSZyChzf6VQdN9
