I have sent 2.5 years worth of e-mails and being a married/engaged couple there should be some intimate discussions in your e-mails and you should not be embarrassed about it. They ask for proof, prove it to them that you have a legite relationship.

Sending that stuff is NOT required.

During your interview they can ask whatever they want, but when preparing your packets you don't have to send this. It will not harm your application if you send it, nor should it harm the application if you don't.

I do not know anyone from my small group of friends/ acquaintances that have gone through the K-1 or CR-1 process who sent this kind of material in their initial packet - and they were approved.

just take screen shots of conversations. If I had printed every page of every conversation It would have been thousands of pages. No one is going to want to read all of that.

It is beter to go over and beyond than not go far enough than have your interview go into administrative review for 180 days then be requested for more evidence of relationship. It will save a lot of time and money in the end.

Why can't you take a screenshot of a page without the sex talk. Then just send them a snip of your conversation. They don't need the entire thing.

Yeah, there's no way I would send anything like that. I would consider that highly inappropriate.

K1 requires you to show you have met in the last 2 years. Internet chats do not show that. You may need something more for the interview in Nigeria, check the local forum for that. London, for example, did not require any 'proof of relationship' stuff at the embassy interview.

You could just send a summary list as to when the conversations were (if your program has chat history), to show that you talked frequently. That's what we did.. They didn't even ask to look at any actual chat conversations.

Not necessary. Screenshots and brief conversations are fine. I don't think too much information is necessarily a good thing.

so are people going to send thousands of pages? My i 130 was approved with a few emails, copies of boarding passes and visa stamps. There is simply no need to send every conversation and every email.

I would say no, don't send anything too intimate. Send a selection of email that show contact over time, that's it.
