I would think so.This is the biggest proof we got because we have no joint accounts or anything with both our names.I just got a social so I couldnt be added to anything .Its scary that someof you think having a child together isnt enough and are questioning why we dont have a lot of pics together.Really ?

Not necessarily. Some people just have a kid because they think it guarantees them a visa. It does not.

it has nothing to do with what people here are questioning,The fact of the matter is that the USCIS will question it. If you just received your SS number why not go to the bank now and get added to the bank accounts? You asked for advice and people are giving it to you. There was no need to start a new post because you didn't like the answers to the first one. I gave you many other examples on what type of proof they are looking for in your earlier thread.. if you want to be argumentative and not take the advice, that's up to you. Refusing to give them what they ask for, and being hard headed is not going to get you anywhere with immigration headbonk.gif

Depends, have you had a DNA test done? If so, yes. Otherwise all that is proved is that she someone got pregnant and someone's name was put on the birth certificate, doesn't prove parentage.

Doubt you guys will have issues anyways though. Stop worrying :)

You're panicking, and I understand. But calm down, people here are trying to help. The answer is that having a child together is probably not enough for USCIS. Don't take the chance, start figuring out what else you can get. Like I said in your other thread, consider getting affidavits from people who know you.

Just like previous people have said, we're trying to help you, not bash you.

And I'm going to say this and leave it alone: If you believe that having a child together and having a marriage certificate is enough evidence for USCIS, then by all means, take that, and only that to the interview and take your chances. The overwhelming majority of folks who have replied to your posts are telling you that's probably not going to be enough.

At the end of the day, we aren't the people you have to convince. You only have to convince one person; the USCIS employee who interviews you.

Good luck.

Hey there,

When compiling information /evidence for a bonafide marriage you have to prepare for it as if you're going to court because you sort of ARE. Do you watch Judge Judy by chance? lol If so, you know how hard she is some people. You have to strut in there with ammunition prepared for battle to win your case. If you don't have the proof, you don't win the case. Evidence from friends (notarized statements) are great if you don't have alot of legal type documents. A will would certainly be good...I'm quite certain your husband should have you listed in his will (if not, he's needs to correct that)- and that has no bearing on your legal status at the moment per se- people list their dogs in their wills nowadays! Anyhoo, other forms of evidence of course are property- car (it's very easy and inexpensive to have you added), previous lease is fine if you can get your hands on that. Pictures are easy! Start taking them now with family, friends, neighbors, strangers, pets, aliens, etc :-P That's actually the easiest evidence to acquire and doesn't require a special event. Just body language is key to show that you both are happy/comfortable together and you enjoy your family life together. Listen to all the advice given here because it's well intentioned and will give you the best shot to ensure the process goes smoothly for you both. Best of luck as always (F)

Having a US Citizen child doesn't stop foreign parents from being deported.

It can, and has done so in the past.

The fact that the deportation of a foreign parent would cause hardship to their USC child can be enough to have the proceedings suspended or even terminated depending on the exact circumstances.

It did not work for my husband. He was deported when his child was
