Put it all in a neat stack and slide it into an envelope. Seal it. Send USPS delivery confirmation (you do not need a return receipt, you can check delivery online) use a personal check for payment. When it arrives it will be disassembled and put into one of their folders.

Use paper clips, binder clips and rubber bands. Stop over-thinking this.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Get a 2 hole punch, punch all papers on the top of the page, and assemble the different categories of papers with Asco Fasteners, this is what they like. No Staples, no baggies, no folders.

This is how we assembled ours. We didn't include emails and chatlogs. Your fiance can bring those stuff during the interview. Hope this could help a lot.

• Application fee - $<455>

• Form I-129F

• Form I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person

• Evidence of my US citizenship

• Form G-325A and photograph of the petitioner

• Form G-325A and photograph of the beneficiary

• Form FC-029

• Proof of having met in person within last 2 years

• Letters of intent to marry, petitioner and beneficiary

Note: Photos should be put in a ziplock with your names on it.

I can imagine too much might make it hard to find the actual items required to approve. And I can imagine a 3 inch (or even 2 or 1 inch) thick application being pushed aside in favor of a simple one they can adjudicate quickly.

"Ugh, this one is so huge, I think I'll do this smaller one first."

"OMG, I think I'll leave this dictionary sized one until next week."

"I've got a quota to meet. Not going to tackle this Jumbo Jack this week."

Agreed. I just organized mine in a pile and put it into an envelope. No clips or staples or anything. Its not necessary, they will just take it apart and organize it how they want. No point spending time and effort fastening things together.

A lot of the stuff you mentioned are things to bring to the interview. All you really need to prove at this point is your meeting in the last 2 years. It certainly doesn't hurt sending additional documentation, its just not necessary, not for the UK.

Just so this does not confuse anyone reading this thread:

I want to point out that the I-129F petition filing fee went down from $455 to $340, has remained at $340 since Nov. 23, 2010, and is currently $340 with no news of it changing anytime soon.

Hey,

Going thru the whole k-1 process too thru the UK! I just put all the paper work in order based on what I found here on visa journey, no binders or folders--just a giant clip. I think the Service Centers prefer the simpler the better. Also the only evidence I included were plane tickets and dated pictures of us through the years. No RFE's, everything went smoothly and now we are just waiting for our interview date!! From what I've heard about the UK, the "evidence" portion is not as important as it is in other countries, so definitely do not freak out about it! For the I-129 I think the only thing they are really looking for is proof of having met! A couple good things should be sufficient! Good Luck!

Hello everyone,

Well I feel my heads about to explode with the amount of paperwork infront of me! I was thinking of putting everything in a binder and putting individual components (such as cover letter, photocopies of boarding cards, photocopies of e-tickets etc) in one clear plastic wallet so to keep everything similar together. This way, I can kind of assemble it like a school project?! Maybe but dividers? Does this sound logical? My evidence is growing every day - so far I've got copies of boarding cards, e-tickets, hotel confirmations, car hire confirmations, bank statements, credit card statements, my rosters from work to prove my whereabouts (I'm flight attendant), basketball tickets, MLS tickets, Rome colosseum tickets, Rome train tickets, a boarding card from Rome, passport stamp copies (in colour), a US departure record card (which I believe should have stayed in the states, oops) with a bright stamp from LAX on it, 10 screen shots of Skype conversations, numerous e-mails exchanged between us, bla, bla, bla....

Any suggestions for presentation? The binder would be a simple clip one which would be very easy to dissemble for the guys at USCIS...

Also, today I scanned in my boarding cards and printed them off in colour, very high resolution, but they've literally all come out A4 sized! So very easy to read but do they want actual size copies?! Anyone know if they even care about that?!

Thanks in advance everyone, you're all such a great help through this mind boggling process....

I think the most important thing is to have a cover page listing the contents...as people have already pointed out, they then assemble everything the way it makes sense to them, so makes no difference really how you do it, as long as you list the contents and place them in that order (that way they can easily find them when they are re-arranging your file upon receipt.

Yeah Brother, relax. If you're overwhelmed by "everything" just do a section at a time. I went nuts on my package, it was almost 6 inches thick, the person that interviewed my fiance (Manila) said he'd never seen a package so thick. I know I sent much more than was necessary, but being an engineer used to dealing with government bureaucracies, I wanted to overwhelm them with information. Your embassy should not be as difficult as ours was.

I would not bother sending e-tickets, I am pretty sure that they would be ignored since they don't prove that you travelled. I would use boading passes and photocopies of passport stamps instead.

It's nice to read others from other embassies knowing how it is to load up because how it is. I feel your pain Claire I freaked for 6 months putting this baby together. I started on it like July 2011 and mailed it off March 15th, 2012.

Every time i read a post or story of someone doing a million copies or my mistake posting on here and told what I had was too much. I was so confused. I had no idea at that time about the Nigerian Embassy and how hard it was. I thought "proof of Bona Fide relationship" saw the list and said I got about 80% of that already, I spent 6 1/2 months there. 6 weeks even before we got married than another 5 months. That took care of alot of red flags.

I wish we were going through the UK. Don't you basically have to just show a marriage license and maybe a pic (proof of you met) I have heard of some not even providing a pic.

We lost all our wedding pics so I need to go back before interview and we will have to take more and I guess redo our ceremony. (sorry to be so chatty) ;-)

1-2 large bullclips ( paper cilps ) to hold the entire thing together. Cover page on front listing order of contents behind. Payment stapled to the cover.

I'd use a paperclip instead of a staple
