I agree with that, but I'm not the one speaking in broad generalizations like the OP.

Ruteger,

Like "ourselves"? Like yourself, perhaps. Many of 'us' didn't go overseas to find a decent companion, I myself went overseas because I was offered a great job at a time when I needed one. And while there, I found an excellent companion.

But to get back to your theme, what's wrong with American men that so many women are finding their preferred companions overseas?

Yodrak

Why are so many men like ourselves seeking wives overseas? What has changed in American women that sucessful, intelligent (albeit not-so-handsome as Mel Gibson) men such as oursleves choose to go overseas to find a decent companion??

I'd be curious to discover the motivations my fellow man has for going overseas to find a spouse.

The internet has to account for a huge number of overseas relationships.

When I met my fiance online 7 years ago I never would have admitted to meeting a man in a chat room, but it seems to have become a credible way of meeting people.

the Op was a troll and that is what trolls do

I'm not sure he is a troll. He's been asking about how he can get his new friend here to visit on a K-1 so she can see if she likes the U.S., and wondering if he should learn Russian or she could learn Russian, since the translator assures him they're in love.

I've seen it on here: certain ppl complaining of 'oh how my wife is Americanized now!' when it comes to: getting a job, making friends, being independant & thinking for herself....or if the woman starts lying, she's being 'American' I think that's a load of bs right there

There are couples who neither speak a common language, there's a big age differential, and they've never met? Well yeap, that ain't love, that's a mutually beneficial arrangement

I'm fairly sure most men are falling in love with an individual, not a nationality (you can't get permission to marry a nationality in any event. "And do you, trollboy, take Philipinas in general to be your lawfully wedded...er...wives?")

I can only say one thing. It's not about what has changed in either men or women, but how has the world changed in general, now it's almost as easy to meet the boy next door as it is to meet a person from the other side of the globe, and so we end up meeting them!

I totally prefer foreign men. They tend to put their relationship before anything else which in my experience most American men don't. I mean the men in my family do but that's family, gross. Anyway, I've always been a sucker for an accent too. So, I married a Turk who learned English in London, double the accent, double the pleasure, lol. But, I didn't go overseas searching for a husband, it just happened that way and it's not a surprise given my love of an accent as aforementioned.

Difference between Western women and non-Western women.

American women specifically and Western women in general have problems that turn men off:

* Western women want men to serve THEM most of the time but are unwilling to put in the effort or TIME to make it an intelligent partnership.

* Western women are coarse, vulgar, rude, or distinctly lack femininity.

* Western women are argumentative, critical, and demanding (i.e. bitchy).

* Western women are money-hungry and superficial.

* Western women are generally mentally unstable.

* Western women use sex as a weapon and reward to get things.

* Western women are just bitter and show contempt for men.

Most of non-Western women in Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe are the exact opposite of Western women.

* Non-Western women do not have anti-male bias and they are not pre-occupied with fairness and trying to prove themselves and to make a point.

* Non-Western women are not self-centered and do not have high-maintenance, superficial, and stuck up attitude.

* Non-Western women are a lot more mentally stable and they do not use sex as a weapon and reward to get things.

Think about this: what good is it having a western woman if she only views the relationship as a power play? Western women are not raised with the values that make the relationship work. Relationships with western women are all about what she can get from a guy and what she feels she is entitled to.

Ignore western women trying to discourage you from meeting non-western women. Western women feel very threatened by foreign women because they know they can not compete with them, so it makes western women feel worthless and obsolete. Western women know a man will always choose a non-western woman over a western woman if given a chance. It is like Chrysler's former boss Lee Iacocca making you feel guilty for you to buy American cars while selling you the worst junk cars.

Some men think their beat up Ford Escort is the best thing in the world. Why??

Because they never have the pleasure of having a Mercedes, Bentley, Ferrari!
