Embassy Review : sanita, my fiancee, was there for aobut 3 1/2 hours..they took her forms..fingerprinted her and had her seat along with many others..interviews are done on thuesdays and thursday only....when she was called to be interviews, she spoke in english, and was asked questions concerning my children, where do my parents live, where do i live, my job, her family, they asked more questions about me and her knowledge of me..she being muslin, did not think the questions were any of her business and explained she did not knwo all theinformation regarding my past..and did not wish to know, as i was not a small child and as a muslim woman, it is better not to know...this becam a problem and she was given a 221g..and told her petition was being returned to the usa...

i was able to prevent this and get the k1 visa in her passport within the week by two emails to the consul and claling the director there and speaking with him...they sent me an email and approved the visa...

almaty consul is fair and did not ask to see any evidence of relationship..they were more interested in me than her...overall, a positive experience...

Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
