Hey guys, I just thought someone might give me an idea on this. Since my interview letter came yesterday, and i can't wait to get that EAD, I was thinking that it wouldn't hurt to request an expedite at this point. Or, should I give it another week hoping to hear from USCIS? Comments appreciated... :help:

Congrats on your interview letter. Honestly it's pointless to expedite ead as your interview is coming up. ead takes about 20 days since approval.

You can try, but gather good evidence. You will receive your GC soon already.

I didn't receive my IL yet :(

Thanks for the advice Alla. You are of great help on this forum. I hope you receive your interview letter in the next few days. It should come soon . It is true that my interview is just 30 days away and EAD expedite request will take around the same time to be approved then mailed by USCIS. My congressman's office has already accepted my letter and documentation that i was able to provide. Congrats again for your EAD. Your interview's letter is on its way.

I submitted our income and basic spending (most important bills). Also medical records showing treatments that I require, proof that I don't have insurance and money to afford any of that. My husband is a student,so it's tough.

As I saw Ama submitted 28 pages request.

Good luck!

OH wow , had no idea that you needed medical treatment. Wel i am glad you will get your EAD soon, do you plan on applying for your drivers license?

Congrats on the EAD!! now the wait for the interview letter and the interview will be less stressfull if you already have a EAD and a ss number and all.

I cant wait to get a EAD SS and drivers license.

We were suppose to go to vermont this weekend but didnt because I ws scared, they do alot of checkpoint since vermont has a borders with Canada so we decided that we better not take the risk of something happening and just stay in the city. I heard alot of stories that in random checkpoints like that they search and they can put you in jail for expired visa apparently. So now kinda afraid to go anywhere further, so im really waiting for that approval :D

Good Luck to Everyone!! :luv:

(L) (L) HAVE A GOOD MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!! (F) (F)

Hello guys.. Just wanted to ask if you had a similar situation. I send the RFE response using express mail waiving the signature confirmation. Since its a PO BOX. So they can just drop in there.

Today it was delivered but it says "We attempted to deliver your item and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice". Maybe the post office person didnt see that I waive the signature.

Do you think the guys at the immigration will pick it up? Im getting a little paranoid over here.

Grats! I thought about it a bit and realised (after being confused about why I was sent two bio letters) that it's so you can file one with your AOS stuff, and one with your EAD stuff. I don't know about everyone else but I've separated those sections so it helps to have a spare one to shove in the EAD stuff ('cause AOS is WAY more impt :P)

Hello All.

I'm thrilled but nervous. We did the biometrics on the 14th. The I-485 and I-765 were not touched until the 17th. I expected this as the 14th was a Friday. Today, May 29, we received the interview letter for June 30. The letter was produced on 5/24. What makes me nervous is first that it was so fast - just 10 days after the bio and only one week after the I-485 was touched.

But more importantly, the letter says "REQUEST FOR APPLICANT TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW." It's the "INITIAL" that gives us pause. For those of you who have received your interview letters, do they say "Initial interview?"

This is for the I-485, not for the I-130.

Thanks.

AOS Timeline

You don't have to worry about that. "REQUEST FOR APPLICANT TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW" is what everyone's letter says. I guess it is considered initial because it's your first. Anyways, i received my letter on Thursday and interview is on June 30th as well. Bonne chance  !!
