I applied again for US tourist visa in Malaysia and my interview is today but i was denied again. This time the consul is a woman. May i apply again for the third time?

Questions are:-

1. How long ive been in Malaysia?

My answer: 3 yrs now.

2. What do you do?

I am working as a Sr. Document Controller at xxx company.

3. Have you applied a visa before?

Yes but i was denied.

4. Why?

And i told her this explanation while she's reading my DS 160.

The questioned on my first application was that if anyone has applied a US visa for me before? I answered No because i was not sure if it was valid application since i did not pursued to apply for the visa.

My explanation:

DURING MY INTERVIEW FOR THE US TOURIST VISA APPLICATION LAST 27TH OF APRIL 2016, I WAS ASKED BY THE CONSUL IF SOMEONE HAS APPLIED A US VISA FOR ME BEFORE TO WHICH I ANSWERED NO. I APOLOGIZED AND ADMIT THAT I MADE A MISTAKE. IT WAS A SLIP OF MY MEMORY. IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME ABOUT THE FIANCEE VISA (K-1 VISA) & WHICH WAS APPLIED BY MY EX BOYFRIEND MR. RICHARD LIN. IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO AND OUR RELATIONSHIP DIDN'T WORK OUT. I WAS NOT AWARE THAT IT WAS AN ACTUAL APPLICATION BECAUSE I TOOK NO ACTION TO APPLY FOR THE VISA AFTER I WAS NOTIFIED BY THE EMBASSY. I DIDN'T CALL OR FILE ANY DOCUMENTS NOR PRESENT MYSELF TO THE US EMBASSY IN THE PHILIPPINES. DURING THE I-129F PETITION PROCESS, WE HAD A MISUNDERSTANDING, BROKE UP AND LOST COMMUNICATION WITH EACH OTHER. WHEN THE CONSUL BROUGHT UP THE NAME OF MY EX FIANCE, I WAS A BIT SHOCKED TO BE REMINDED OF A PAINFULLY, FAILED PAST RELATIONSHIP, WHICH I THOUGHT I HAD PUT BEHIND ME AND FORGOTTEN.

MR. Xxx WAS MY BOYFRIEND WHEN HE APPLIED FOR ME THE FIANCEE VISA BUT I DID NOT CONFORM AND I DID NOT PURSUE WITH THE APPLICATION THUS I PRESUMED IT WAS AN INVALID APPLICATION

5. Then she asked me when your ex bf dated you?

I answered i think last 2007 2008.

(This year i gave i've confirmed only that it was 2008 when my ex bf applied the petition after i was interviewed on my first application thats why i answered the consul the exact year.)

6. Last April you have told that you are going to visit your boyfriend?

I answered i dont have bf now. ( i think the first consul noted that my friend where i am going to stay thought that he is my bf, i dont have a chance to explain that this friend is engaged. The first consul questioned before was:-

Who is your friend?

He is Michael.

How did you meet him?

I met him in Malaysia by a friend.

7. Then the woman consul told me that i am denied that she dont believe that i will return back after my trip. And she don't believe that i could forget my fiancee visa before.

I was trying to explain but she stopped me. I want to explain that my friend is not my bf and i never told to first consul.

( i answered wrong the questioned before from the first consul because i was not sure that it was a valid application since i did not filed any documents after i was notified by the US embassy in Philippines.)

Is it really hard to apply a US tourist visa if the applicant is single? :(

Since i am denied twice. No chance now for me to apply again? And if i have a chance again, what should be my explanation on my third application?

1. My friend is not my bf. I will just stay only on his guest house ( He has airbnb in NYC).

2. Consul dont believed my explanation to my former fiancee visa.

Hope you could give me a good advice. Thanks

Correction to my explanation:

MR. xxx WAS MY EX FIANCE WHEN HE APPLIED FOR THE K1-VISA. OUR RELATIONSHIP FELL APART BEFORE THE I-129F PETITION WAS APPROVED AND I DID NOT FOLLOW-UP FOR AN APPLICATION FOR THE K1-VISA. I ASSUMED THAT IT DID NOT COUNT AS A VALID APPLICATION.

You were advised in your previous thread HERE that you would probably be denied a tourist visa so this should not be a surprise to you. You now have proof that your previous mistake is now on file.

If you want to apply again that is up to you. It is your money to lose. But because of your application history it is next to impossible that you will get a tourist visa.

My humble advice... spend you money and energy towards something else for your birthday. Maybe try another country to visit.

Yes, it is very difficult for single women to get tourist visas, especially if you (what they look as) lied before.

There is nothing wrong with trying again, but your chance is effectively 0 unless something changes. I would wait a year or two at least, travel to some other places and return home so you can show a travel history, then provide a cover letter explaining everything with your next application.

Why the first consul noted that i am going to visit my bf? Becoz this was asked to me. I never told in my DS 160 form or even during my interview. So consul will always think in that way without asking?

Your credibility is shot. The US Embassy believe you are willing to lie to get to the US. This will be in your record every time you apply. Sorry, but you are not likely to get a visitor visa until your situation at home changes.

Forgetting someone you were engaged to is not common.

Single woman denied a visa for forgetting a US fiance and visiting a male friend is a giant red flag.

Until your situation at home changes, you are unlikely to get a visitor visa. Perhaps if you were married with kids, you might have a chance.

Thats unfair. :(

During my first interview i really dont want to lied but i really was not sure that it was a valid application thats why i answered no. And why they wouldnt think that i didnt took the advantage of having that fiancee visa if i really wanted or desperatex to go in USA. I did not processed the application after i was notified.

I could even continued the application even we had misunderstanding right but i didn't.

And now its been a long years after i applied a tourist visa.

Anyway, tnx for all the advice, maybe i should get married first before i can visit USA. :(

It's not unfair because you are not entitled to a US visitor visa.

You couldn't remember your old fiance. Come on. That is not something you forget.

My friend is not my bf. He has a gf in Philippines. He just offered me to stay in his guest house since he has an airbnb in NYC.

My ex bf or former fiance was married now. I dont have bf.

what if your current friend becomes your boyfriend after you landed in the US after a B2 is granted is what the US mission is thinking now. we all know people use all kind of tactics to be able to come the US. it is a magnet.this is something that i am not targeting you on. you may be honest about what you are stating but your record in their database says otherwise. there are still options for you to come to US. on a side note, i personally don't believe when you said you did not remember that someone applied for a unsuccessful K1 for you but it is irrelevant and none of my business. let me make you clear on one thing. every B2 applicant seeking a visa is seen as a potential immigrant.the onus lies on the applicant to prove otherwise. it is also my personal view that a big chunk of B2 visa holder coming from high fraud countries (as per DHS/CBP/USCIS) are not genuine visitors and end up staying in the US.like i said before, you can still fulfill your american dream.

Seems lot of harsh comments. here is no limit to the number of times you can apply.

Hehe it is fine. Thanks. It was my fault not to answered correct the first consul. I was really shocked when he asked my x bf that i wanted to erased in my whole life. After him and within 8 years i had other relationship, even ppl will not believed it, sometimes there are things that we had forgotten and it just come out in an unexpected day, that was happened to me. I am applying a US tourist visa, i really don't knew that it will be asked about my former fiancee visa that i didn't processed. I just applied tourist visa without reading articles about it. Thanks for all the advises here. :)
