Tourist Visa to F-3
Boiler replied to Phytia's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Is this a lottery case? Sure, does not matter where she is, if not subject to the cap maybe doable to adjust but this is something the Employers Lawyer handles. -
EB2 NIW: Question about Independent Recommendation Letters
Boiler replied to Maj_Gen_Ifeanyi's topic in United Kingdom
I do not recollect US recommendations being required, obviously they have to be of substance but I can think of a few cases where I seriously doubt that the person has US based referees. -
No PoC? Now I was born not that for from Stratford and was walking distance from the Globe for quite a few years, English Literature was not my strong point but I do remember this being covered at School and that back then men or boys more normally played the female roles. Plus of course the implication we had moved on..... Not sure my Teacher, what was his name, I can remember his number, thought we would twist it back around.

Oregon leaders declare 90-day state of emergency in downtown Portland to address fentanyl crisis https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/31/us/fentanyl-crisis-portland-state-of-emergency/index.html Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler each made an emergency declaration to address the public health and public safety crisis in Portland’s Central City, citing overdoses, deaths and fear driven by fentanyl use, according to a Tuesday press release. “Our country and our state have never seen a drug this deadly and addictive, and all are grappling with how to respond,” Kotek said in the release. Oregon voters passed Measure 110 in 2020, which decriminalized some use of hard-drugs, including fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid. The measure has received criticism, as opioid overdose deaths steadily climbed since. -
There seems to be a more obvious issue: https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2024/jan/31/richard-iii-non-disabled-actor-michelle-terry-shakespeare-globe-theatre The artistic director of Shakespeare’s Globe has pushed on with playing Richard III in a summer production, but vowed not to “alter [her] physicality” following a backlash over not casting a disabled actor in the role. The Globe was criticised after it announced that Michelle Terry would play the role of Shakespeare’s scheming king who describes himself as “deformed, unfinish’d”. In recent years, disabled actors, including Mat Fraser, Kate Mulvany and Arthur Hughes, in high-profile productions have “reclaimed” a character who in real life had scoliosis – as revealed when his skeleton was discovered beneath a Leicester car park in 2012. In a lengthy statement on Tuesday, the Globe said it was “committed to developing a culture of care, empathy, equity, conversation, and accessibility across all our work”. Terry acknowledged “that for many, Richard III is an iconic disabled figure” and admitted her casting might feel like a “missed opportunity for a disabled artist to play a disabled character on a major UK stage. But she said that the role “will come around again”.

Generally Denver cannot. The only thing I can think of is that Denver has historical water rights but I have not come across that being used. It would need to be State mandated which brings some interesting challenges. I did se something about Boulder, now I know Boulder and it was Progressive before Progressive was a thing. Amused me how they used planning restrictions to have no more than a token minority presence. So basically they surrounded themselves with a big green belt and the workers bees commuted in. I will be interested how they work around not being able to theoretically do this, I have my suspicions. Even in Boulder the local rag Denver Camera was referred to as the Denver Comrade.

A private plane is not going to save the planet. I supported Detroit on Sunday, we nearly moved there when I was 7. Sort of reminded me when we were away to Man Utd and Beckham would warm up on the touchline below the away supporters, there is a song we sung... WAGs do not seem so much a thing in American Football.

https://www.9news.com/article/news/entertainment-news/will-taylor-swift-be-at-super-bowl/507-feb10816-c571-4357-9828-0d2d977af56a The only thing that endangers Swift being at Allegiant Stadium when the Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11 is her “Eras Tour” schedule. She has concerts set for Tokyo on Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10, but the time difference would allow her to be on hand for the game. As for the travel plans of her Kansas City-based fans: American Airlines added a flight from Kansas City to Las Vegas on Feb. 10, the day before the Super Bowl, at 12:30 p.m. local time — flight 1989 for Swift’s birth year and one of her albums. After the game, flight 87 — Kelce’s jersey number — leaves Las Vegas for Kansas City at 12:20 a.m. local time on Feb. 12.

Hey I do the Denver stuff, the people I know tend to look on what is happening in Denver with amusement. Now when I say I go down to Denver I do not mean the downtown bit, actual Denver, but the metro area, Costco I go to for example is in Lakewood, and as far as I can tell they do not play. Unless things have changed which I doubt DPS spends the most per pupil and has the worst results in Colorado.

Leaving the US on green card
Boiler replied to uncleyanni's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
A Green Card is for living in the US, that does not stop you making visits outside. 6 months should be the max, I did know someone who had spent 4 months in Brazil as a soccer coach and was given such a hard time at Immigration that he did not leave again until he had naturalised.
