  1. You gamble with the interest not the capital.
  2. Lots of options to get married, less to get a Schengen visa.
  3. My first thought is that this is very generous of you, I can only imagine the cost. You have a school lined up? Have you spoken to the International Admissions Officer?
  4. The 75k is what she pays taxes on? Is it salary or dividends. As an aside why have you not gone I 134a? Ohh and where does SA come into this.
  5. I do not think it used to be free, well included in the adjustment.
  6. I have not heard of this, I do know that getting a Polish visa for tourism is next to impossible. Turkey seems a popular destination and can personally recommend it.
  7. Just a quick comment he is from the UK and no mention of needing to go to Europe. Obviously the personal issues we do not know, I think it is fair to say most people would adjust. 18 months or so is a long time but then again we do not know what he needs to finish off if anything.
  8. Sadly I assume many people forget to mention them, obviously you need to do so and if memory serves me the interest is tax free in the UK but not the US.
  9. Realistically you are waiting for him to recover and be able to travel. A Medical Waiver is actually something else. Not that it matters.
  10. Medical Exam procedures are Consulate specific. Lagos tends to be quite backlogged so it will be some time. Interview Forms / Items: 1. Valid Passport. 2. Original or certified "long" birth certificate. * 3. Original adoption decree. (if applicable) 4. Original or certified copy of the marriage certificate. (if applicable) 5. Original death certificate. (if applicable) 6. Original divorce decree. (if applicable) 7. Police certificate. ** 8. Court record(s) (if applicable). 9. I-864 Affidavit of Support Form along with past 3 year U.S tax returns (or transcripts) and any other financial documents required. (see poverty limits here) 10 Court and prison records.(if applicable) 11. Medical examination information 12 Two passport-type photos (see specification) of the spouse or beneficiary
  11. Will you be able to demonstrate that the foreign income will continue after you move to the US? Citizenship is some way off, as you have not started the process I am not sure if there would be better options, I know this area can be confusing. Can you do a short notice job relocation or will you need to go the regular route?
  12. A short notice job relocation would allow you to file direct with the local consulate. From your comments you will need a Joint Sponsor to meet the financial requirements. Have you had custody of the child for 2 years?
  13. VWP does not allow you to work even remotely. As far as job etc is concerned well that is a personal choice as is deciding to adjust.
  14. Lets assume it all goes well with Naturalisation, some places do same day swearing in, some you have to wait for the regular ceremonies. Any overstay when adjusting through marriage to a USC is forgiven After filing it will be a few months before you can work and longer before you can travel outside the US Fees are going up soon, where will she be interviewing.
  15. Domicile would be the US Self Employed use tax returns for income I assume you need a well qualified joint sponsor.
  16. Here you are, bummer of a result but the proper game:
  17. I have only heard of been given the piece of paper. Now from my own experience it tends to be a bit of rush and you are out before you know what happened.
