  1. You can be a Student and still have an income.
  2. FedEx seems to work well in the US, you need recorded delivery. So whatever is the same in Canada.
  3. Marriage Certificates Available Fees: Fees vary. Document Name: For U.S. immigration purposes, Pakistani Muslim applicants must present both an original, signed Nikah Nama (with its English translation) and a NADRA-issued marriage registration certificate. Note that while both documents reflect similar information, each on its own does not constitute sufficient proof of marriage. Christians, Hindus, Ahmadis, and other applicants considered to be non-Muslim must present only a marriage certificate issued by their respective religious authority (i.e. a church or temple), since Union Councils do not uniformly issue NADRA certificates to these groups. Citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Afghans living in Pakistan must also only present a marriage certificate issued by religious authorities, as Union Councils do not issue NADRA certificates to these groups. Issuing Authority: Union Councils register Nikah Nama documents for Pakistani Muslim citizens and issue subsequent NADRA marriage certificates. Marriage certificates for Ahmadis, Christians, Hindus, Parsis, and other non-Muslim citizens are issued by their respective sectarian registration authority (i.e. church or temple), (Note: Some Union Councils have begun issuing NADRA marriage certificates to Hindus and Christians, though this process has not yet been standardized. As a result, such NADRA certificates are not required for non-Muslim applicants, per the above.) Special Seal(s) / Color / Format: This varies by location and religion. Issuing Authority Personnel Title: For Muslim applicants registering a Nikah Nama, the Secretary of the local Union Council and the Nikah Registrar constitute the appropriate authorities. For non-Muslim applicants, priests or other religious leaders are considered appropriate issuing authorities. Registration Criteria: For Muslim applicants, the marriage registrar signs and stamps each original Nikah Nama, submitting the first copy to the local Union Council and providing the second and third copies to the bride and groom. The registrar keeps the fourth copy. In theory, the Nikah Registrar should register the marriage within two months, but this does not always occur. Upon registration, the Union Council issues a NADRA marriage certificate. While there are penal consequences for not registering one’s marriage with the appropriate authorities, a signed Nikah Nama alone still constitutes a valid marriage under Pakistani law, according to the MFLO. For immigration purposes, however, the Nikah must be registered with and a NADRA marriage certificate issued by the Union Council. Ahmadi, Christian, Hindu, and Parsi marriage certificates are issued by church or temple leaders and are not generally registered with the local Union Council). Procedure for Obtaining: Muslim applicants can obtain and Urdu-language Nikah Nama from the Nikah Registrar. Ahmadis, Christians, Hindus, and other non-Muslim applicants can obtain marriage certificates from their local religious authorities. Certified Copies Available: Certified copies are available. Alternate Documents: No alternate documents are available or accepted. Exceptions: Comments: Both the Nikah Nama and NADRA marriage certificate are required for a Muslim marriage to be considered valid for U.S. immigration purposes.
  4. We have many members with the DS5535 Canada, there is a long thread and you may wish to join them. Which way you send it I doubt would be significant in the bigger picture.
  5. https://www.colorado.edu/gpsg/about-gpsg/stipend-information-international-students I may going to assume it is OK but whatever way you are good to go.
  6. W2s = income And it is a USC that you are adjusting through?
  7. Red Tails did not even try. There was one section in Masters where they completely overdid the number of P51s and of course they kept well outside 0.50 range.
  8. If you are marrying a USC it is forgiven, not sure how someone on a F1 can get a stipend? I know there are limited work opportunities but how does a stipend operate?
  9. I did some numbers on the F150 Lightning So based on my local Electricity price you can do about 12 miles for a dollar. The gas equivalent is maybe 5, one of the advantages is you lose no power with altitude and there is a lot of up and downs and you can regenerate on the down. I think a game changer and it is coming is to tie everything in with the house system. Now if you use a supercharger the numbers change and it is sort of similar to gas. Well it can be the local one here is 45c a KW, now no wonder it is not used. I did not look at diesel because they are in a different price bracket. Now I know someone in Construction who has a Rivian and you do not need to worry about power at a site, you can run all your tools off the truck. I also know a lot of people with off grid systems, add a few panels and charge your vehicle, so free ish. Places like CA with blackouts and variable charging makes even more sense, fill up the vehicle when it is cheap and draw back down when it is expensive.
  10. UK news article sadly also not very reputable: Time to stop using term ‘long Covid’ as symptoms are no worse than those after flu, study finds https://www.theguardian.com/society/2024/mar/15/long-covid-symptoms-flu-cold “We believe it is time to stop using terms like ‘long Covid’. They wrongly imply there is something unique and exceptional about longer-term symptoms associated with this virus. This terminology can cause unnecessary fear, and in some cases, hypervigilance to longer symptoms that can impede recovery.” In a press conference on Friday, Gerrard said: “I want to make it clear that the symptoms that some patients described after having Covid-19 are real, and we believe they are real. What we are saying is that the incidence of these symptoms is no greater in Covid-19 than it is with other respiratory viruses, and that to use this term ‘long Covid’ is misleading and I believe harmful.”
  11. This is fascinating, going to watch it again. I have not calmed down yet from Napoleon but this is the view of someone who was doing his best to get it right. Now some of the things I noticed, a few I did not.
  12. the email is not technically wrong, just misleading, I suppose they could not be bothered to do one for those subject to the Visa Bulletin.
  13. My guess is that when you log in your case will be blurred and not available to be processed currently
  14. Giant scam Carbon schemes are touted as a way to transfer billions in climate finance to the developing world – but people at the Kariba project in Zimbabwe say most of the profits never arrive Much of the €100m revenue generated by Kariba has been carved off along the way by the project developers in fees and expenses: €86m went into costs and profits assigned to the broker and technical lead South Pole and to the project coordinator Carbon Green Investments. In the end, only a maximum of €14m went to Kariba’s communities through cash transfers and infrastructure improvements. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/mar/15/money-carbon-credits-zimbabwe-conservation-aoe
  15. I do not see the connection, say you are being paid $11 and you can work in Walmart and get $20, that would be a perfectly logical reason to move jobs. There is no regulation tying you to your Sponsor.
  16. How did the interview go?
  17. I am sure there have been but I cannot recollect seeing any K2 denials? But then denials are not that common.
  18. It sounds fixable but not with that lawyer. I 130 should be done by now. So when you filed you sent the I 130 receipt with the I 485? You received a REF did you respond.
  19. All the jobs I have seen have been minimum wage but there may be ones slightly over. It seems to be the deal is that you work for a year at minimum wage, not sure if the Employer gets a kick back, seems not, they get someone at minimum wage for a year with no spend. Actually there is no requirement to stay with the Employer for a year but that seems implied.
  20. I am not familiar obviously with SA law on this matter, so presumably you have retained a Family Lawyer in SA and have an opinion that you have a chance? I know that if it was the UK it would be uphill. Or of it was the other way around. Nothing to stop your Husband petitioning them now.
  21. You will have your Passport but can apply for a State ID.
  22. ACRO? ARGO makes no sense. Np you are good to go, presumably a 5 year multi entry visa?
  23. I have heard of MCC, forget when and where, I thought they were S America focussed. Some seems to succeed bit as you imply very much a roll of the dice and no money back. Now I think of it I think it was a Doctor who got an EB3 for him and his family to work driving a delivery van in the Chicago area.
