    I think you are getting way ahead of yourself. The opportunity to file a waiver would be a massive improvement to your current situation. Let us take a positive view and that the case does get sent back to the Consulate, I do not know enough about your case to know what the Consulate would then do, I would have the waiver in mind and see what happens.

    I have not heard of anyone having an issue. I think I would contact NVC assuming that is where it is. I did not think NVC has a telephone number.

    That is what I did sort of to get a Concealed Carry Permit But I was not a Citizen.

    No license here either, now you do need one for Concealed Carry and another one for Hunting. What is your question?

    Being that far in you might as well wait it out, I assume the waiver started off with it not being needed but..

    I am surprised that your Lawyer thinks it is a good idea to travel at all.

    They can not guarantee the fee, but if they really think this will work they can guarantee they will not charge you if it does not work. Sounds a lot for what it is

    There is no issue leaving, if you want to get back that is another matter and any non immigrant visa seems unlikely. Maybe at least look at a dual intent.
