  1. I think you are getting yourself in a very deep situation for someone you met online (I'm assuming you haven't met him in person?). Why not go there, have a holiday, see if you are happy together? THEN, spend a few years seeing each other back and forth. You are still so young. You have time to do that. In any case, I agree with your mom. But his chances of coming to the US are almost none. If you decide to go to his country (and you've never been and never met this person in real life), please don't go alone.
  2. I would bring ALL documents to the interview (even if it says that online). The worst that could happen is that they won't ask for them. But just bring them to be safe. Hmm, as far as the joint sponsor, not sure honestly. What does your message say in the inbox? Is it simply "DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED" or did they say something in addition to that.
  3. They actually DO send you an email telling you that you've been DQed, so not sure where you got this information from.
  4. Once you submit everything in the portal you should be done. You don't have to do anything else but wait for DQ or RFE. Right now it's taking about 14-18 days. Also, don't click submit again because every time you submit new documents, it puts you at the back of the line. As long as everything says PAID and SUBMITTED and COMPLETED, you are done.
  5. I am genuinely confused as to why you want to upload more stuff if you’ve already been DQed.
  6. Just use the one in your passport. Don't risk sending your physical green card all the way to Germany,
  7. I was actually on a video call with my husband just chatting and the gmail notification popped up! It was really cool timing! I really hope you get it Monday!!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
  8. Great news everyone! We just got DQed. March 18. I was not expecting the email to come on a Saturday but it did.
  9. I guess the better question is: why not do your taxes and not worry about it? Is it worth them putting your wife in administrative processing until you get them done? If I were you, I would do everything possible to PREVENT administrative processing and that includes doing my 2022 taxes and getting my sponsor’s 2022 taxes.
  10. I don't think there is additional place for information. But I think the reason they ask that is to see if you will need a background check from another country. So if you've lived in 10 different addresses in the same country, maybe you can extend the last one to age 16. I'm honestly not sure. Another option is to write a letter explaining the situation, signing it, and uploading it with your civil documents. I don't think this is true. It asked my husband where he lived since age 16.
  11. Even if the petitioner didn't make any money, they still have to submit an i-864. This is probably why you got the first RFE. I would avoid joint sponsors who are self employed because they have to have more documentation (like 1099s). Also, it's possible that your self-employed joint sponsor didn't make enough money to qualify as your joint sponsor and maybe that's why they gave you the second RFE. The third RFE is obvious because essentially you didn't prove enough income. Since you have a new sponsor, yes upload their stuff but also don't forget their W2s or 1099s (it's really hard to get approved without these). Also, you need to show your income EVEN IF it's not enough. You still have to submit the i864.
  12. Did you submit your 2022 W2? If you haven't received an email telling you are Documentarily Qualified, then you need to submit the W2 before they can do that. And even if you submitted it and there is still no Documentarily Qualified email, then submit it again.
  13. OMG the best news ever!!!! I hope we hear something tomorrow! I am mentally preparing myself for Monday but if it's tomorrow, I will be so happy.
  14. You won't know unless you try. Email NVC at NVCExpedite@state.gov with proof and see what they say.
  15. They can really ask about anything. It can be about your relationship or not. They mostly want to vet the beneficiary to see if they would be a good candidate for a visa so that's why they can be thorough. I always say that if your relationship is real, there is nothing to worry about in the interview. Just answer honestly (which she did) and that's all you can really do.
  16. I'm not sure if you've already mentioned it, but when was your submission and then when did they ask for RFE? Just curious about the timeframe.
  17. Actually when you are uploading docs they are not labeled as REQUIRED. They only require you to upload the i864 and your most recent tax return/W2 OR transcript. But I highly recommend showing some proof of domicile so you don't get an RFE. But even if you do get an RFE, it will only set you back 2 weeks as they are moving super fast right now.
  18. Ugh this is frustrating. Is there any way to call them? I am waiting for DQ so haven't had much experience with NVC but I would try to get on the phone with someone ASAP!
  19. I paid March 1st and the payment cleared March 3rd. I had all the docs ready, so I was able to submit everything same day.
  20. That's really good to hear! Yeah the average seems to be 14-18 days right now including weekend days.
  21. Oh that's a good question. Yes, this timeline is for spouses of US Citizen. Now sure about other visa types.
  22. If you don’t mind me asking, why did you get an RFE?
  23. Yeah I can understand your frustration. Annoying! Good news is that we are toward the end of the process!
  24. Wow that's so interesting. So your marriage certificate and birth certificate expires every 6 months? That sounds like a nightmare.
