  1. The only new thing we had to prepare was the police certificate + translation and 2x2 photo. Remember that the police certificate must be current (only valid for 6 months) and the 2x2 photo should also be current. My husband cut his hair so even though he had old 2x2 photos laying around, he went and got new ones taken.
  2. It will take 1-3 days for your status to change “CASE WAS SENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE” then 1-3 days to get your email from NVC. When you log in, pay the fees right away. It will wake 2-5 days for the payment to process. Then, you can submit documents. Here is what we submitted: Petitioner (I am a USC): US Passport Photo or US Birth Certificate i864 Form (print and sign with pen!) 2022 Tax Return or Transcript 2022 W2 2021 Tax Return or Transcript 2021 W2 2020 Tax Return of Transcript 202 W2 2023 Paystubs Employment Verification letter Copy of Apartment Lease (proof of domicile) Copy of Electric Bill (proof of domicile) Beneficiary (my husband): Police Certificate + Translation Marriage Certificate + Translation Birth Certificate + Translation Passport Photo 2x2 photo DS260 (fill out online)
  3. Oooo thank you for doing the table! Super helpful!
  4. Yup, I'm so happy that NVC is kicking butt and working fast! I'm hoping to hear something in the week of March 20th! Yours might be even the week before.
  5. This is more of a company question, not a visa question. If your company allows you to do so, then do it.
  6. I submitted my paperwork on March 3rd, so I figured I'd start the thread.
  7. It sounds like you have way bigger issues than a "visa" right now. Maybe focus on your marriage first. Then, focus on applying for a green card. Honestly reading this makes me really sad (and kind of angry). There are people here who would do anything to be with their spouse and be together FINALLY. And here you are worrying that your "immigrant" wife is going to take financial advantage of you. Yes, sponsoring your WIFE means you accept financial responsibility for her. If you are not ready to do that, don't waste anyone's time (the government's, yours, or her's). Rant over.
  8. Also, I wouldn’t bother with assets if she meets the income requirements. ☺️
  9. I don’t know how helpful the other answers were but I will give you my take. Yes, file the 2022 returns now and submit them to NVC (along with your W2). In addition, include most recent paystubs for bonus proof (3-6 would be great)! If you are filing “married but separately” keep in mind that you can only paper file your taxes if your spouse does not have an ITIN or SSN. So the transcript won’t show up for months. I did all of this and wrote a letter explaining the entire thing just to cover my bases. Hope this helps!
  10. Hi everyone!!! I have good news! We were approved yesterday. Details below: I am USC. Husband is from Bulgaria. Service Center: Potomac PD: Feb 11, 2022 AR: June 21, 2022 Approval: Feb 22, 2023 Approval came from NBC! We filed K3 but I know it didn’t help at all. We filed the K3 in May 25, 2022 and haven't had any updates on it at all. I hope you all get your approvals soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼
  11. That's the spirit!!! I think it's also important to follow your specific service center bc they are all so different. I am in Potomac and today I saw the first February case approved!!! The guy has a PD of Feb 4, 2022. So, it's slowly but surely happening.
  12. Your Priority Date, the date USCIS received your application. They are approving January 2022 cases right now. You are almost there!!!!!! Seriously, believe it! Your case is definitely getting approved by end of March!!
  13. What is your PD? Hang in there, Feb 2022 filers are up next! I know it's hard but this is why I always say don't expect anything before 12 months. Most cases take between 12 - 14 months and that's just the first step. You have to stay strong.
  14. This is good to know! I wasn't sure if I had to wait until the I-864 or just go ahead and do it. I think I am going to mail the form today. Thank you! Thank you! I will mail it today.
  15. Thanks for sharing! We are in Potomac, so I am not expecting much, to be honest with you. I see you are in California so hopefully you will hear something soon.
  16. My husband and I filed our I130 in Feb 2022 while we were both living abroad. For our mailing/living address, we put our foreign address because we lived abroad. Makes sense. But now I have moved to the US and am trying to change my address, and I can't. Issue 1: On my USCIS account, it says, "You cannot edit your mailing address or physical address during this part of the adjudication process." Issue 2: When I go to the AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address form to try to do it this way, for the OLD address, it only allows me to put a US address. We didn't use a US address. So, my question is this: Can someone who previously used a foreign address while living abroad successfully change their address, and if so, how? TY
  17. Not sure about California we are in Potomac and they seem to be processing November 2021 right now.
  18. Not much movement for filers in 2022 yet. I think most service centers are processing Nov & Dec 2021 right now. I'm in Potomac too (PD is Feb 12th). They seem to be processing cases from November 2021 right now. So we probably have 2-3 more months of waiting. Hopefully, it goes by faster OF COURSE!
  19. If you have an approval doc then you are approved. Congrats!! Keep an eye out on your inbox for an email from NVC. People say it usually takes 5-10 days.
  20. Yup, I have it too. But I think it's something they are adding to make it clear that people have to wait 10-14 months. It's the same information you see on the USCIS Processing Times page soooooooooo nothing new.
  21. No, I didn't have an actively reviewed before that. I am still waiting on approval. But from what I am seeing, a lot of couples have been getting i130 approvals 3-4 months after sending their i129f. We are currently sitting at 97 days since sending the i129f sooooooo I really hope we heard some good news in September. If not, it's not a big deal. I know the typical wait for i130 is 10-12 months so we are prepared for that wait.
  22. Thank you for sharing that! We have an incredibly similar case in terms of dates. We filed the i130 on Feb 12th. Then, we sent in our K3 on May 26th. We got an active review on our I130 on June 21st. I assume we got the active review because they linked our K3 to our i130. But just like you, we haven't heard anything since then. Our case is in Potomac. I am hopeful. I believe we will hear something soon.
