    Hello everyone,

I just got an email today from the NVC with a case number, After looking up the status it shows "In Transit Your case is in transit to the Consular Section"

    I have a few questions.

    1) Do I file the DS-160 right now?

    2) Should I now go ahead with the getting the Criminal Record Check Done & Having My Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support

    3) When do I pick the interview date? Is that in the DS-160 form?

Overall I'm just a little confused at what my next step is, I've done alot of research and I keep seeing conflicting reports of don't file the DS-160 now and file it right now.. also I have no idea what I should be doing right now.

Thanks alot for your help, I'm sorry if my questions are dumb I'm just really overwhelmed.

    Correct.

Depends on your country and the vaccination services at the consulate-accredited clinic(s).

Your previous posts indicate that you are in Canada.  Is that right?

    1.  Yes
    2.  Yes -- get the police certificate.  I-134 may be filled out, signed, scanned, emailed, and printed anytime before the interview.
    3.  Submit the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, then book the visa interview schedule using the consulate's online scheduling portal.

Note that the procedure may differ from what I said above, depending on your interviewing consulate.

  7. Thanks

You will get an email from NVC only when your case leaves NVC and is en route to the consulate. If you want to know your case number before that then you will have to reach out

NVC suspended their phone line, you will have to reach out through their public inquiry form

Good luck! I really can't offer any advice though. If you think that that is what they will ask for then, try to collect it just in case. Keep your spirits high! We just applied for the visa and have an extremely long time to wait sadly.

Hey everyone, just checking in for the first time in awhile.

It's been about 14 months since we filed our K1 and still no NOA2 😞

Really discouraged and starting to feel like I'll never be able to just live with the love of my life... long distance is so hard.

Do you guys think we will get it soon?? It feels like we've been waiting forever.

Also once we get it will the rest of the steps be faster?? I wanna start our lives together 😔

My heart goes out to everyone else in the same spot or who has been through this...

Thanks alot for the real people who commented on here with some good advice!

I really appreciate it, and even if we didn't fully agree on stuff I'm glad you were honest about your opinion.. I am definitely going to take everything into consideration and make the best decision for us when the time comes.

Some other people are reacting like they know the full story of our relationship/life etc with some extra stuff that has nothing to do with my questions/concerns, Find that pretty funny but whatever makes you happy.

Have a good day guys and thanks for the help! I'm glad I found this forum and hope everyone waiting gets their visas soon! Goodluck all! You may see me around if I have some more questions in the future ❤️

I'll make sure to keep updating my timeline to help out too.

Who said I didn't have a job lol?

I have a job as a security guard, It's pick & choose shifts, so extremely easy for me to leave for as long as I want, Same as I did before.

My family is still here and I love my country I am doing everything legally and 100% don't want to be banned from entering states, Would never risk doing something dumb.

I just wanna visit & stay with her again like I did before because I miss her very much.

So as I said we got the NOA1 in July 9th, Are the next steps things I could complete in US during the 6 months if I got in? That's another fear of mine, I wanna make sure I can complete everything from there, I think I would be able to as its just filling out forms and stuff until the Medical/exam interview from what I understand and that will much likely be longer than 6 months.. I'm willing to risk getting turned away even if its 50/50, And I think its definitely at least that, Especially since I can prove I stayed and went 6 months last time + bring signed letters from family saying I will be returning & they will help with money anytime I should need it (but I wont) and proof from the I-129F showing we are doing everything legal and intend too...

I'm more worried about if I will miss out on doing stuff while I'm there.

Same as last time I did for 6 months, we got by fine, her work makes enough & my family helps anytime we need it.

It wouldn't be an issue for us to figure out, Mainly concerned if we would run into trouble at border thats it.

    2. Rarely isn’t he USA citizen required or even permitted to be at the K-1 interview

    3. no problem.  DoS always ignores that field.

    4. https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/filterlist.php Seems like over half the Canada I-129Fs from your filing month have seen I-129F approvals or  more.
